Only if you have the original HDD inside then it is pissible to re-format and it wil reboot itself, after than all works fine (not if you switch to another HDD).
Nobody seems to now how it wil be possible to put a bigger HDD inside the AV700, if you could downgrade to a certain firmware version it is possible to swap to a bigger HDD.

I have one and it says the same thing can you HELP?! it says " read access error can't read from hard drive" What do i do? Help!

You probably need the update software on a usb device plugged into usbA or usbB while it loads up/powers on.

There is no software for that as far as i now.
If service is needed for such device and replace the hdd they put a file on the hdd and it updates itself.
I still want to h*ck this device as i have some more time to spent on it ;-)

the hdd was defective and i was planning on swap the hdd with the same brand and model but NO GO !!!
