I bought this CD when it came out and tbh this tune was the only one I really cared for off it. It's a great song with an awesome story behind it. The only thing that sucked was seeing him live on this tour and not hearing this song performed. Guess maybe he was playing it only for the NY fans. Nonetheless, a great song!
@SeafoodCharlie I would love to hear this song played live as well, but he has such a large catalog of great songs, his show would be twice as long if he played all of them.
As a fan of metal, I must make a very strong exception for this song. It's powerful. The video may not fit the best to the lyrics but the song tells a great story. Bob Seger at his absolute finest.
I'm with you on that. There is so much feeling in this song and every other one he's written. I'm disapointed the way music has evolved over the years.
I'd like to get you "understanding" about something. You're "video", if you'd even like to call it that is a huge disgrace to the lyrical genius that is Bob Seger...especially in regards to the greatest spng ever to be wriiten..ever. (not counting Steven Segal's country album..cause lets not kid ourselves.. that shit was epic). Back to segar...
@ 3:20 or so, did beastie boys lyrics pop in your head? ( hands went up as people hit the floor..)

I too have been a fan since the early 70's, but somehow I missed ever hearing this particular song! I gotta research it now.
Not a typical Bob song- much more atitude than I have ever heard him do...
Someone else's style here I am hearing.

Bob Seger is one of those artists where it's impossible to pick a favorite, however this might be his best due to lack of airplay.
