Regardless of what anyone says, this was a great movie in my opinion. Just because Superman wasn't punching a super villain in the face, people couldn't stand it... but c'mon, Brando's speech makes everything worthwhile.

this movie flopped it, only grossed about the same it cost to make it; 200 mill. singer tried to emmulaute or copy donners style. people didnt want to see that any more so it fflopped. it was good for the 70s but not the 2000s. i saw it once and didint want to see it again. sorry ass movie. singer sucks as a director. the cgi scenes looked so fake.

DC comics has covered the subject of remoreseless heroes who kill. It was called "kingdom Come" In this world all the heroes killed the villains with impunity and with little care to the surroundings. Innocents got hurt all in the name of "defeating the villain". The point is some heroes Kill, some don't and see a better way in life.

And to preempt your argument that Superman is a pussy and Batman is way cooler Batman can kick Superman's ass blah blah blah, keep in mind that Joker is by far more evil and deserving of death than Lex is, but Batman never kills Joker either.

@Primetome As much as we all would love to see that, this embodies the same principle as Batman and Joker's relationship; one without the other is incomplete. Every hero needs a perfect counterpart. The Joker is the perfect counterpart to Batman, and likewise, Lex is the perfect counterpart to Supes.
