O'Haire's line "Why don't you shut up" was acctualy not said to Totally Buff. He said it to Shawn Stasiak and Mark Jindrak during feud with them after switching partners. The shot of him saying that was from event on which they confronted their former partners.
WcW was good around this time and it's better than wwe is today, people want to point the fingers at the bookers & vince russo when it was truely the fans who didn't give the newcomers a chance, they wanted to keep there hulk hogan & ric flair & goldberg and they watched wwe more. Y'all didn't want things to change, so in reality it was you, the fans who put wcw out of business, end of story!
@93100rc It was too little too late. I stopped watching WCW regularly in mid 1999 when they started to turn Hogan face. At that point, it wasn't interesting. Towards the end, they started finally pushing new guys but at the same time, they had Russo and Arquette as WCW champ.
In reality it was AOL Time Warner that put WCW out of business. They sold the company and canceled all of the shows. If Bischoff or some other group was at least allowed to keep one show, it would still be around.
WCW was getting ready to start a big turnaround at this point, and O'Haire and Palumbo were a big part of it. Both were saddled in crummy gimmicks, finally WCW worked out the bugs in their booking and put these two young heavyweights with great looks and great moves into a hig profile spot. So glad WCW punished Buff/Lex this way. At this point, Buff/Lex looked so stale and boring and old. I mean, at this point who wanted to see Buff/Lex go over these young guys. It was enough at this point.
This match was supposed to go 8 minutes with the same result, but when Bagwell & Luger found out they demanded to do the job in 30 seconds and then they laid in the ring for like 5 minutes.
At that moment, O'Haire and Palumbo were combined youngest Tag Team Champions in history of wrestling. Today they are in fourth place, behind only Hart Dynasty, Ted Dibiase & Cody Rhodes and Renee Dupree & Sylvain Grenier. If Uso Brothers win titles any time soon, they will become youngest champions ever. Quite honestly I think this was shortest match in history of wrestling, if you don't count Goldberg's wins during his streak and recent Sheamus vs Zack Ryder match in WWE
You know I used to be big fan of WCW and this was one of happiest moments for me back then.I use to be fan of Buff Bagwell until he joined forced forces first with Lex Luger and then with Ric Flair.Palumbo and O`Haire were bright future for WCW and later for WWE when they went there while Totally Buff disappeared from wrestling altogether after death of WCW
@HypocriteSkeleton3 Yep, is sad indeed. WWE and TNA product sucks so much this days. That guy, Sean O haire, well used, today could be WWE o WHC champ, o for that matter, TNA champ. A keep in touch with WWE and TNA, but I like ROH better, and some of the indies...
That's pathetic Luger screwed up the promo he mixed up there names, even said i'm sorry guys to them. They also milked this promo just to hog the ppv knowing they were going to get squashed
That's pathetic Buff didn't know how many tag belts he had, Luger didn't say he won the world title as well or was a horseman. O'Haire should have been us or ic champ minimum that devils advocate gimmick was awesome and they could have kept his push without Piper why they didn't i don't know
I hated Buff. I worked for ASA and he got on one of our flights with a carry on bag and asked to have it put in the cargo bin. I told him if the gate agent didn't put a tag on it then he could take it on the plane. But he wanted it in the bin so I put it there. Then just when the flight was ready to go out buff came to the steps and started screaming " I want my bag, Do you know who I am? I'm Buff Bagwell" No shit, this guy is an asshole.
Sean O'Haire should have at least been IC Champ during his stint in WWE. remember that gimmick where he wore the suit and convinced people to do bad things.....Awesome.

Since Palumbo and Luger were feuding again, they should have made Palumbo use his Main Event gimmick which is a knock off of Luger's Package gimmick and have him use the Lex Flexer again and have him come out to Luger's old theme. They should have also done that when he went to WWE during the Invasion angle, and have him act like Luger there.
It's sad 2 c what hashappened to Luger now. In all sports they should show a pic of Luger from back in tha day and now and tell them this is what happens when u do steroids and other drugs. I bet almost all will never or will quit doing them
The good side of it is that he is in no way bitter about it. He is clean now and is trying to do better with his life, I hear he is down to 170 pounds!
Tony Shavonnie: Well, we were supposed to go to Kanyon vs The Cat and that's why the B-roll came up, but we can't yet because Totally Buffed is totally out right now. We're going to have to peel them off the mat.
THIS is what I want to see more of-young up and coming guys-(even though these guys aren't in the biz anymore)-completely dominating and beating 2 guys who the fans are SICK of seeing. What a smart way to show off good talent-and say what you will about O'Haire-but he always impressed me. The "Sean-ton Bomb" was always well done, and his kicks and martial arts skills were spectacular. The man has 2 black belts in 2 different martial arts. He was a talent. Period.
The MEM vs Frontline feud was supposed to elevate younger guys to the main event but instead we have guys like Sting,Angle,Booker,Nash,Steiner,Jarrett,Team 3D put down our throats every week, while the likes of Petey,Sonjay,Lethal,MCMG,Creed,Daniels,Kaz being wasted in nonsense feuds ore even fired in case of Petey and Sonjay. On the other hand WWE is pushing the like of Rhodes and Dibiase in a main event angle , thats the difference between the two companies.

I've seen him in person and he's just down right mean to fans.
You can give my comments all the thumbs down you want, but sad thing is the promo that Totally Buffed cut turned out to be true. Ohaire and Palumbo turned out to be nobodies. Palumbo is a mediocre wrestler for the 'E and Ohaire tried to start a MMA career, how did that turn out?
oh yeah he got his ass beat. You demonize luger and buff for juicing, but Ohaire is clearly on HGH. Wake up dude.
no dudeman I loved this Luger and Bagwell were two arrogant asses in real life and they were forced to go out and job in 2 minutes it was brilliant booking and made the champs look strong which was needed. WWE does it time from time as well.
Not at a PPV. I gotta agree with Dudeman, this was really stupid booking. If I had paid to watch this, and I got 4 minutes of shitty Luger mic time and about a minute of what I guess you could call wrestling, I'd be ticked
yes they do watch summerslam 2005 benoit-Jordan or heck this year NOC with the tag titles being swapped or WM with the ECW title those if a match serves is putpose. They put the right team over I wasn't ticked and not many people minded it because everyone was tired of lugar and bagwell. It wasn't the main event and no one paid to see this match.
They may be arrogant jerks, but they both were damn talented as well compared to ohaire and columbo, plus they were both WAY WAY WAY MORE OVER! I think it was lame.
How many people have ever paid money to see Columbo or OHaire.
Bagwell and Luger were not that talented at all they got over by being muscular. Luger at this point was past his prime and Bagwell wasn't that much better. Not many people paid to see Bagwell and people were more into Ohaire and Palumbo back then they were into the Luger-Bagwell team because they were the new talent and were exciting.
gatekeeper i know this comment is 5 months old but luger never had talent buff before his neck injery was a great wrestler but it was only a mater of time b4 he couldnt go anymore sean and chuck are big guys but they have talent and were wasted in wwe and wcw
Lex Luger was good back in the NWA days. I still think Buff is a good worker, for a guy with a broken neck to still be able to come off the second turnbuckle, do a flip in mid air and hit a neckbreaker is pretty amazing, especially for a guy his size. A lot of indy promoters book him so he must be doing something right. Besides, he's Buff Daddy! :D
And this was a PPV title match??? Was the actual match even 2 minutes long? to think, ppl actually PAID for this PPV and they got a title match like that.
Jeez, Lex looks like Paul Roma with that hair :O

Also Ohaire had a future they threw it away with bad booking like they did with the rest of WCW.

he was pretty good as the devils advocate character in wwe while it lasted but the company didnt know how to use him.

no dudeman I loved this Luger and Bagwell were two arrogant asses in real life and they were forced to go out and job in 2 minutes it was brilliant booking and made the champs look strong which was needed.

Luger was a professional football player.
He played for Joe Paterno in college.
He was on the Packers roster at one point. He is a great natural athlete, and pretty good on the mic.
And Bagwell, pre-neck injury, was one of the better wrestlers in WCW. He too could alway cut a great heel promo.
If youre gonna say they are only there because of muscles, doesnt the same thing apply to Sean Ohaire and Palumbo?

gatekeeper i know this comment is 5 months old but luger never had talent buff before his neck injery was a great wrestler but it was only a mater of time b4 he couldnt go anymore sean and chuck are big guys but they have talent and were wasted in wwe and wcw
