Never played StarTropics before, but this is well done, I think. Sounds like a frigid environment, but without using typical instruments. On the other hand, the strong beat and slightly wandering/subtle melody remind me of Snowboard Kids music a little, though this song is definitely more...synthy? I'm not sure how to say it.

Anyway, I enjoyed it :p
