  • lets just not show any of the bad things that the democrats do ok that sounds like fun dont it? forget jimmy carter. and forget obama's new bill destroying the catholic church's veiws. or bill clinton with his little problem with that chick. need i really go on! democrats are even worse

  • She just trashes anyone who does not do as see says. The recent jobs bill (10/2011) the president proposed failed to pass the democrat majority controlled congress. If your own party votes against it Rachel, it is not a Republican conspiracy, it is just crap. Propoganda is a powerful thing morons and BSMBC rivles only Gerbles in efficiency. Wake up!

  • Thank you Rachel for setting Democrats straight and pissing off Republicans

  • Well ... that'st great coaching! Let's focus on divisiveness and indifference directing superiority on a group called Democrat's ... instead of intelligently excercising the fact that American's want a better America, designed benefits and a thriving economy. When you focus on rhetoric that focuses on rightgeous "indiference" you may feel you are Holy but you're just stagnating harmony, unity and working together for a better America. "Cut it out!"

  • @RalphMFlores1

    You wanna talk about divisiveness?

NOBODY obsesses more with DIVIDING us more than Republicans.

Every other label is "Liberal this" Liberal that".

You got Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and every other lunatic on the right obsessing with nothing BUT dividing us...its either Red or its Blue...its either Conservative or its Socialist.

So don't lecture us on divisinveness.

If you feel we're being to forceful with our punches...keep in mind...

    these are counterpunches.

  • @steel1968 The more DIFFERENCES perceived the less rapport, unity and harmony this country, along with it's people, will achieve. Argue your limitations and your perversive sex drive with the same humen gender and you will own them. This is the majority opinion of America. Happy Holidays anyway!

  • @RalphMFlores1

IF I'm understanding you, I think you're missing the point. Its not a matter of preaching to the choir on how "bad" the other side is.

What ppl like RM do may seem trivial but its not. In fact, what she does is very important. Its one thing to report what a politician SAYS theyll do, its another thing to report what they DO. Its important to understand hypocrisy in politics and how its used and how it affects us. She does her homework and reports her butt off.

    Peace.

  • @steel1968 --"Okay, that sounds fair enough."

  • I should be president, they should make a reality show about all the clowns and thieves in the senate.....We need a new goverment but that will never happen because they have the best weapons. In the end the USA is everyones master.

  • "After Democrats took control of the Senate in 2007, forcing a record 139 'cloture' votes to defeat the filibuster — more than double the 68 cloture votes in the previous Congress. The Senate is now on track to eclipse even that record, with Republicans forcing more filibuster votes last year alone than the Senate cast in the decades of the 1950s and 1960s combined."

    --Rolling Stone, March 2010

  • Southern republicunts make me sick! The way you talk makes me cringe and your stupid ways make me sicker! The party of no sucks me peepee!

  • Rachel Maddow for President!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wonder which politically correct idiot is going to correct my error?

  • The smart guy..me might. What was your error?

  • FILIBUSTER PROOF MAJORITYFILIBUSTER PROOF MAJORITYFILIBUSTER PROOF MAJORITYFILIBUSTER PROOF MAJORITY

    THAT IS A FACT!

WHAT DID YOU NOT GET ABOUT THAT?

Name calling has got to be getting old for you guys!

    AGAIN spin that for me!

  • Well, namecalling seems to be the favorite tool of righties.

I'm an independent who disagrees with Dems all the time.

Only difference is, generally speaking, they dont go straight to the namecalling, unlike righties who go straight to calling me a Liberal, libtard, etc, just because I offer a different view on a particualr subject.

And the funny thing is, I possibly have more conservative values than many of these rightist calling me a "lib".

  • Comment removed

  • If it was filibuster prrof, then how was there a record shattering number of filibusters in 2009?

Call it spin, call it whatever you ned to, its basic mathmatics.

    58 Dem. senators.

    You need 60 votes.

There are 2 Independents, but one of them (LIEbermann) voted with the Repubs on almost everything.

    58+1 = 59

    59 is less than 60.

Thats not spin, thats basic math.

    Done.

And without the need to overcompensate by SHOUTING IN ALL CAPS to try to solidify my comments.

  • I doubt you are looking at the "temp jobs they created", or the unemployment numbers that are growing, or the state of California in fact. A fact is indisputable and you have not disputed any think that did not prove my point. Except It was 60, not 61. And that is the only think you found for yourself and was not on MSNBC. So have a good day.

  • EUREKA!

Let the Republicans endorse a policy the Democrats would support, have the Democrats CLAIM to be against it, conduct the votes by secret ballot, and VOILA! Efficient legislature!

  • Republicans are afraid of the truth, honesty, and integrity. Truth, honesty, and integrity are like a big scary negro, mexican, and Muslim to the republicans. The reason republicans fear these things is because republicans are businessmen, clergy men, used car salesmen, loan sharks, and other professions that require being a bullshit artist and manipulating the shit out of the people. Motherfuk Rethuglicans!

  • Haha! Nice.

  • Your so good, love it, yes love it. Be blessed Rachel

  • @cyanga

Don't you mean, "you're so good?"

    And you call republicans stupid?

  • You're a democrat I assume?

  • @TheIMC8

Nope, sorry. I don't support a central planned economy. The state doesn't need to be the owner and operator of every industry. :)

  • Your definitely a liberal. You have sarcasm and still can not dispute a fact to save your life. 60 59, whohoo, so I gave you one. Some people might appreciated that. Yet my fact still stand, alone. I do not need cliche remarks and catchy word plays a fact is a fact. So how I'm starting to think you do not know what that means. Back to the point I made. "Filibuster proof." Spin that for me.

  • You brought up Fox News so please clarify yourself.

  • Filibustering is a parliamentary procedure. Why don't we just remove all the Republicans and half the dems. We can leave those in power decided by you of source, to decide where to burn the constitution as well. Then we can appoint some democratic dictator, maybe Obama. SOUND GOOD?

  • *of course

  • Also since when is it suddenly ok to ask for stimulus money, in any party. Even most Fox columnist disagreed with most of what Bush did.

  • You don't get it.

The point isnt that its OK or NOT OK to ask for stimulus $.

The point is its NOT OK to bash the other party and tell America in front of the camera, that the stimulus hasnt created any jobs.

Then turn around back home and take credit for the many jobs it created.

Now you can get salty and call her mean & sarcastic for that all you want,

But I think what she said was pretty rational.

But then, I was once told that you cannot rationalize with irrational people.

  • Alot of truth in your last sentence.

  • Well said, steel1968

  • So you don't think its a fact that there is filibuster proof majority in the house, because that is what I was stating.

Also republicans did endorse a health care bill, but I doubt that you read it because in you "opinion" Republicans are bad for America.

The difference between you and I am not going to support a stimulus or health care bill with out knowing the facts. I did not support the stimulus even though republican voted for it. You on the other hand?

    Where are the jobs?

  • Anna, you i know i got love for ya, but editing doesnt have much to do with this one.

If a Republican is going to bash Obama and the Democrats on the Stimulus bill, then turn around and secretly ask for pork, and stimulus money....they are HYPOCRITES.

They bash Obama for not televising the HC debate, then when Obama says, "Fine, lets go."

They dont want to do it.

They say he isnt "taking our ideas" on HR, but he's taken and included several Repub. ideas.

    Theyre hypocrites.

  • Close minded? What does Fox have to do with anything I said? Let's talk about hypocrisy for a second.

Rachel Maddow said in her own words during the Bush administration( i watched), that for Democracy to work there must be a balance in power. I don't see her talking like that anymore. Glow up!

MSNBC is a liberal power house. You trash Fox because that is what the Media (80+% liberal) wants you to do. When the truth is MSNBC ratings suck.

  • Sweet pea, you can have your ratings.

Fox will do anything for ratings, they sensationalize, the dramatize, they bash anything Democrat 24/7 and theyve been that way for YEARS.

MSNBC is biased ot the left, but they have to be to give ppl something to counter the depth of Fox's bias.

And there is a difference in bias & dishonest.

As an Ind. I watched Fox a lot, they repeatedly get things wrong and its all opinion, even the reg. news.

Be an American, not a Foxonian.

  • Oh so you voted for Ron Paul?

I watch many news organizations. So promo MSNBC all you want they need it. But it seems you broke away from the point made that you initially responded to me with. You also lived through this debate, and live through conservative values on News organizations in the past. But some of you want to claim it has a brainwashing mentality. I see it as an opposition. Also bias & dishonesty can be said here too. They seem to teach you well.

  • Steel, you're probably right but, both sides need to " get with the program" nd at least try harder to work together. The main reason I'm independent is niether side impresses me very much.

  • You're right.

But I think its time the Democrats use reconcilation.

Like Bush did 5 times. The Repubs have set a record high number of filibusters (more then the 1950's & 60's combined)

But the Democrats have NO SPINE, I'm sure youve heard that said about them before. Theyre trying too hard to be the nice guy. So they wont use reconciliation.

The Repubs are voting NO to EVERYTHING. Theyve done a huge disservice to the American ppl, but their sneaky strategy has them looking like angels.

  • Honestly I find that MSNBC lacks any class what so ever and often the viewers are highly misinformed. You for example.

They can lie to you bold face, no facts needed, just Bash Fox and they are in the clear.

  • Your forgetting that Democrats have a "filibuster proof majority" But they can not get it through? Why? Not because of Republican! Its a 60-41 including Al Frankin, Arlin Specter, and Barney Frank in Democrats favor. No one is holding a gun to some of the Democrats heads to make them vote "NO". But they did vote a Republican into Kennedy's seat. That is Democracy dear, weather you like it or not. It happens every election were there is a super majority.

  • 60-41 ?

And you say MSNBC viewers are misinformed.

Contrary to what Fox tells you, there are not 101 senators, there are 100.

    The count last year was

    58 - Dems

    40 - Rep

    2 - Indep

Independent Liebermann voted almost unanimously with the Repubs. (58+1 Indep = 59)

  • 60-41 technically Independents are counted on dem side. that is just a technicality. You probably look that up on Wikipedia like I did. Just interpreted it differently. Still my point still stand that there is a super majority (filibuster proof) amount of Democrats. So your initial attack on me was quite uncalled for and in fact I provided nothing but facts. You just interpreted them differently. See not brainwashing happened to you, by Fox News, as you would claim. Your still an angry liberal.

  • OK playing your game. Subtract 2. 58 good job. Still my point stands (filibuster proof majority).

  • And yes, there were a couple Dems that voted with Repubs at times. You see, thats suppose to be the job of our elected officials to not JUST vote against the other side to block everything for political reasons to win re-elections.

  • Also, I diversify my news intake, which Id suggest you do too. And I even watch Fox.

I'm a former Repub, turned Indep. with many Conserv. values.

I just didnt have an "R" branded to my ass at birth preventing me from seeing just the narrowminded extreme right point of view.

And when Republicans start voting against THEIR OWN BILLS, that THEY PROPOSED, simply bcuz Obama endorsed them (meaning he will also get credit for it) then those Repubs vote NO to THEIR OWN BILLS.

    Ridiculous.

  • Well Dems have an OVERWHELMING majority. I think it's more time to evaluate your own party vs. going the political route of blaming those who hold no power what so ever.

  • No power?

Youve either been hiding under a rock, or watching Fox News because majorities mean nothing if one party decides to filibuster everything. You have to have 60 votes in the Senate.

Republicans are voting NO unanimously to EVERYTHING.

Theyre doing this for ONE REASON. To get Americans ticked off that "nothings getting done in DC"

And when the country has THAT mindset, its always the majority party that gets blamed.

Its the Republicans that have taken a "political route".

  • Power is given by how the house is split. This means if you have been watching MSNBC then crawl out from underneath your rock. Dems have power, a super majority in fact.

Americans are ticked off that they are trying to transform our country into something people don't want. Filibuster yes. 2,000+ page bill to be read over night, yes please filibuster that. Thank God Republicans are doing something right, your only making my case.

  • That is exactly how it is...The republicans love their party and the pursuit of power more than they love the United States of America.

If this group was around in 1941, they would have been rooting for the Nazi's to win the war so they could beat the Democrats

This is a shameful time in our history...and it's even more shameful that the rank and file republican voters are supporting their party through this....

  • Mao, Karl Marx: Those are people your party quotes from.

Also the Democratic Party that over threw Germany and Russia where Democratic/Socialist Parties. Compare the agendas.

  • I don't know what the hell you're talking about....

You just seem to think you can claim A=B and without any justification, you suggest C out of it...when you've never even proved A...

Bad logic, honey...keep on reading...learn some things, then come back....

  • Well I think what I said was quite clear. I was responding to the statement you made on Nazi's.

A=B? Justification is not needed. I stated a clear indisputable fact. So no A=A in this case. Cut and dry, plain old fact. No need to even respond unless you want to dispute that, or try to spin it as if what I said actually is A=B. But you kinda did a bad job at that as well.

  • You enter a YouTube thread about Republican hypocrisy, and say "Those Dems quote Mao !"

    Like THESE Democrats?

John McCain: "In the words of Mao, 'Its always darkest before its totally black."

Newt Gingrich: "War is politics without blood, politics is war without blood."

    Extra credit:

George W. Bush - Encouraged Karl Rove to read a Mao biogrophy.

Grover Norquist, popular Repub economist has a majestic portrait of Mao in his living room.

Thank you for reinforcing RM's point.

  • McCain is a Progressive. Same as Obama, Dear.

  • hey obama what can brown do for you

  • Right wingers hate her because she tells it like it is and she doesnt just accuse Fox and GOP of the frauds they are, she proves WHY.

She actually does research, brings material to the table and calls them out.

If right wingers were more concerned with being Americans and less concerned with being Republicans, then they wouldnt be so offended by it.

    They should be thanking her.

  • Why do people need to thank her? She's in the wrong career. Look on the bright side though. I'm sure she will make a great career after this show is cancelled. I see DJ Maddow in the near future. She can preform before that group the Spin Doctors.

  • Why do ppl need to thank her?

Because she's trying to tell you something that if you opened up your close-minded-I-can-only-think-one-way" mind just a little bit,

you'd see that she makes a lot of very good points and reports things that no one else does, CERTAINLY not Fox News.

There is a whole other side to the story that ppl need to understand about WHY nothing is getting done in DC.

She does very good research & brings hard evidence to the table to SUPPORT her reports.

  • Evidence to support a belief she already had? I doubt that. That is not real reporting. She also said the surge in Iraq didn't work. She said, Tea Parties are a bunch of Right wing extremist, and stood by the belief the Capitalism is what is causing the economic melt down, and that global warming still exists. Stood by Acorn and the hooker while they learned how to utilize tax evasion. Stood by abortion clinics. No, bias there I can see, not at all.

  • Amen Rachel, Amen. Kill the Filibuster already and get things done. FUCK The Republicans
