@144wychwood I agree, in the 70's the Habs were so dominent (winning 7 cups) that it became meh, nothing new, but in 86 and 93 those wins were totally unexpected. Most would have predicted the Oilers in 86 and in 93 the Penquins were the best but with no Lemieux it was open for anyone.

We like the habs because of many different reasons, but I like the Habs because I was born there, I live there, and that's where I come from so of course I will love them! They are one of the oldest hockey teams with the biggest heart for hockey. No one has accomplished that feat since the Detroit Red Wings in the 1997-98 season. I personally don't think that the Bruins will repeat. @ebman3 Yeah, the NHL will be in realignment next season, being divided in Four Conferences, and only the Top 4 in every Conference will qualify for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. So if you're in 5th in Your Conference, and in the Next Conference there are 5 or 6 teams below you. Too bad, you're assed out!
Thomas will still be playing with the Bruins for years to come. He won't retire anytime soon! And the Bruins will always be above 4th Place every year Chara is with us.
