NJSTs are an odd bunch. I've known clearly criminal behavior from them, I've seen them act out of control (i have no idea what happened in this vid...may be perfectly reasonable), and yet my only interaction with one was excellent...nice guy. But then I am educated, knowledgeable and respectful (this is called being a Man....look into it.). NJ is a socialist police state w/ outrageous taxes and corrupt, out of control govt. Some folks are decent, but overall, a hell hole.
Im sure the "local" cop said something stupid to get his ass tackled, but still on the other hand Im sure the trooper said something for him to get on the defense.. This just looks like a classic case of us vs you... Simply just taking it way to far then it really need to...
Woow! I remember that....that dude got 5 million, all because this guy was driving down the parkway with his lights going. You guy's got to stop this tough guy sh!t..
@coolasshole23 yeah right, and you'll be the first person to call the police when you need help. Cophaters are all the same, you hate the police because you get caught doing something wrong. It's never your fault that you were driving 30 mph over the speed limit, it's the cop's fault for handing you a ticket. Just the hall monitor in school, I bet you hated him too when you got caught skipping class. Obey the law and you'll never be bothered.
@bostonianpeacekeeper look who is talking here, you like men in uniform dont you pig? do you have a fetish for men in uniform? or did you share beds with a cop last night? let me tell you something pig, I am talking about the police abuses that is happening around the country daily. I am talking about the ones who abuses their authority by profiling the minority. While this is happening, you like to turn the blind eye and deaf ear. I do obey the law, I am a tax paying citizen and Iraqi veteran.
@coolasshole23 Oh, and to inform you of the officer that got arrested google Gary Wade. He won several million in a lawsuit against the troopers. But as it turns out, he is an ass after all. Police are searching for him. He beat a woman so severely that she has been hospitalized in critical condition. And the former cop who could do no wrong is just about as big of a criminal as the come. Perhaps the troopers weren't as bad as some posters here paint them to be.
@bostonianpeacekeeper if you approach me with that kind of logic, I am willing to do the same in return. I am not talking about this case, I am glad the police arrested this man and did what they had to do. However, I am talking about the police abuses like beating a mentally ill homeless man so bad, that he ended up dying in a hospital. With that being said, how come you dont comment on the crooked cops are violating the U.S constitution?
@coolasshole23 I already answered: There are crooked cops, just as there are crooked soldiers. No matter the profession you'll always find someone that is less than worthy for that position. When it comes to police, research shows that less than 1/2 of 1% are crooked cops or abusive cops. It's the lowest percentage out of any profession in the U.S. The highest, and to no surprise, is politicians, with an astounding 6%. That's roughly 4 politicians in each state.
@coolasshole23 And much of the "crooked cops violating the U.S. Constitution" is perceptual and subjective. The Constitution has been ripped to shreds in the courts, especially federal courts. An example is police in your home without a warrant. If they come to your home for legitimate reason and see blood outside of your home, but no one answers the door or responds, some state laws say they can enter to insure you're safe. Federal law says they can't. (cont)
@coolasshole23 It's called the Emergency Exception Clause. They can enter under exigent circumstances, like chasing a fleeing criminal or hearing someone screaming for help. But under the Federal Law, seeing blood outside of a home does not constitute an exigent circumstance. There are countless lawsuits every year for this. Are those crooked cops? Or are those cops who were geniunely concerned for the safety of the residents? (cont)
@coolasshole23 most people would say that they are good cops who took the chance of violating the 4th Amendment for the greater good. Constitutionalists would argue that even the most remote violation is nonetheless a violation. So is right or wrong? Neither, technically, it's all just a matter of how you perceive each potential violation. The courts are no different. That's why the Constitution has become so vague and so altered that to imply that someone violated the Constitution (cont)
@coolasshole23 or is a crooked cop with no concern of the Constitution comes down to a simple matter of interpretation and articulation on the part of the police officer and the victim of such a violation. Beating someone within an inch of their life is NOT a Constitutional violation, it's a crime. When they say that someone's Constitutional rights have been violated they are saying that the crime was committed by the government. If you beat me up, it's only a crime. (cont)
@bostonianpeacekeeper Both, you have to be a thug cop at first in order to violate the constitution, and when you violate someone's right, you are a violator of the constitution because the cop is a public servant.
@coolasshole23 And that's my point, the only reason it's considered a constitutional violation is because they are government officials. If a cook did the same thing it's not a constitutional violation. Of course police officers have a higher standard of conduct, but why? Aren't they human like you and I? So therefore, it's offly incredible that such a low percentage of officers have violated the constitution.
@bostonianpeacekeeper Because the crooks dont represent the government and they are not a public servants, the police are. The police swore an oath to defend, protect, and to uphold the constitution, street thugs didnt. The police receive their salaries from tax paying citizens (You and I).About the police misconduct being low I disagree, it is actually on the rise. The reason you think it is low because it is unreported by the superiors or the complaints wont go anywhere. If looked you see more
@coolasshole23 Do you say the same thing about fellow soldiers when they commit a crime? Do you claim they violated the Constitution? How about politicians? Why aren't you holding those professions to the same standard as you hold police officers? And how do you conclude that police misconduct is on the rise if it goes unreported? Because of YouTube? And how do you know it's happening if it's not reported? I look at the stats... I don't see a rise, not even close. (cont)
@coolasshole23 This country's most corrupt era was the 70's and 80's for police. Times have changed and police have evolved. In the 70's if you reported a cop beating, you'd probably be next. Nowadays there are clear cut complaint procedures and outside monitoring agencies, like CALEA and the NIJ. The depts would lose money if they didn't take complaints seriously. It's not so easy to let abuses slide anymore.
@bostonianpeacekeeper The 90s as well, you know with the whole Rodney King beating, and racial profiling still exists today. However, there have been an improvement since then, but it is far from cut and clear. There was an undercover story ABC did to monitor the complaint procedure, 7 out 10 police departments wont hand you the complaint form. Sometimes you get arrested because they make an excuse in order to delay the complaint. Most of these complaints either get lost. still some work to do
@coolasshole23 I saw that ABC report too. It wasn't available with closed captions at the time, but I got the gist of it. Yeah, it's investigative reporting, lawsuits, complaints, police arrests and departments leading by example that molded what police is today. It was positive for both the public and the police. I doubt it will ever be perfect, but at least we don't have school bullies with badges to the degree that existed in the 40's.
@bostonianpeacekeeper I wouldnt say that bro, we still got some work to do. Here are is the problem with the hiring process, cops dont get the psychologically test, and some of these cops are just ticking time bombs, or loose cannons. So, if they can get the psychological testing done, we will have a much better an trained police officers.
@coolasshole23 I don't know what state you live, but in PA that's done with every police department. If you Google Philadelphia Police Dept Hiring Process you'll see that it's one of the areas covered during the hiring process. I can't say it's the case with every police dept, in every state, but I couldn't find a single police department (by googling) that didn't have a psychological exam. If there is one out there, then I agree, the dept is in the dark ages.
@bostonianpeacekeeper It is a requirement by the department policy, however, it can be waved off if the recruitment rate is low. Look up "cop threatens to kill" its the first video the one with 780,000 hits. Watch it, read it, and let me know what you think.
@coolasshole23 I wouldn't know the first thing about waiving the psychological requirement. I doubt they can do it in PA, it's part of the laws outlined to be a police officer.
Yeah, that cop was way out of line in that video you gave me. Talk about an overreaction. He's part of that 1% apparently. That kind of police work is not appreciated by the public, nor the department. I know they have a tough job, some just can't handle the emotional aspect.
@bostonianpeacekeeper A very interesting debate you and cool...23 had, I'd like to commend you both for keeping it clean and respectful considering the emotional nature of the topic and the unfortunate tendency on YouTube to go straight for the gutter talk and macho posturing. Police have a very difficult job to do and some fail quite miserably to remember to "serve and protect" and let fear and insecurity overwhelm them. Thank you both.
@coolasshole23 I wouldn't know the first thing about waiving the psychological requirement. I doubt they can do it in PA, it's part of the laws outlined to be a police officer.
Yeah, that cop was way out of line in that video you gave me. Talk about an overreaction. He's part of that 1 percent apparently. That kind of police work is not appreciated by the public, nor the department. I know they have a tough job, some just can't handle the emotional aspect.
@bostonianpeacekeeper besides, what have you done for this country? I have fought overseas to protect this country, while you are sitting here writing comments and call me a cop hater. While you sit here like sheep and watch these people violate our constitution every time. What does the speeding ticket has anything to do with the police abuse? speeding ticket is a speeding ticket, end of story. Cops dont want to see a citizen with open carry without the harassment.. get a life pig
@coolasshole23 I doubt you're a veteran. Veteran's have more respect than you. You're just plain simple with a narrow mind. You have no idea what happened in this incident, you only have a blirp from a dash cam video. And yet you choose to categorize cops into one simple and very convenient term: pig. Yet, as an alleged veteran you fail to see the bravery and heroism of the profession. Sure there are bad cops, one arrested in this video. Just as there are bad soldiers.
@coolasshole23 You only see cops as "pigs" and "abusive." If you were a soldier you'd be empathize with such harsh language. Soldiers too are categorized so viciously by our society. So you'd thought you'd contribute you're two cents of hatred for a profession that you probably aspired to be as boy. The only people that hate cops are those that got caught being bad, and even they are few. You use cop hating as your pin cushion for your inner failures.
@coolasshole23 And BTW - I'm not a cop. My screen name has a historical reference. I doubt any police departments are looking to hire the hearing impaired, hearing I lost in Iraq when an RPG struck the building my platoon was in. I also lost most of my vision in my right eye and I have limited mobility in my neck. It took me 15 months to rehab in Germany. Then another 2 years to learn sign language. I've given plenty to my country. Which is why arrogant pricks like you annoy me.
N.J. jury awards former detective Gary Wade $5 million for aggressive arrest by State Troopers jurors have awarded a former Tinton Falls detective $5 million after an August 2004 traffic stop at gunpoint by a State Trooper left him face down on the side of the Garden State Parkway and then out of a job.
Officer was right... he is in his town and on duty trooper should have waited for officers supervisor... but u know troopers... they are the jar heads of Law Enforcement... all brawn no brains... Officer got 5 million dollars in lawsuit...troopers probably fired...
I googled this up. The cop although charged and convicted was later cleared by an appeals court and was awarded 5 MILLION DOLLARS! As he slowed down he followed procedure and contacted his supervisor(Standard procedure in cop v state-troopers) The troopers didnt notice he'd put his cop lights on coz they were by then approaching his driving window. One of them pulled out a gun for no reason and they then bundled him out. They were later disciplined. Hell, for 5 million, maybe ALL 3 planned it !?
I have been looking for the full video for years,Saw the original 4-6 min report on local NJ/NY news. Troopers beat that detectives ass and pepper sprayed him. They showed the whole incident. Det. I remember this and I think the information is misrepresented here this was the case of a Wanabee cop going up & down the GSP (Garden State Parkway) pulling people over particularly women and asking for sexual favors or be arrested and forced. Also robbing people I know this because I remember seeing it on the news.
Happens all the time, there are about 100 LEOs in my county, 2 of them are now convicted of raping females they pulled over on traffic stops several months apart, another is serving time for burglary, seeing a cop get arrested is nothing new.
Sorry Officer, but we smelled poop coming from your car. So we are pulling you over to beat the poooop out of you. We thought we'd punch you in the head a time or two as we ground you to beat more poop out of you, because we're clairvoyant and we're pissed that you gonna get $4 million because of this.

Simply just taking it way to far then it really need to...

coolasshole23 5 months ago
@coolasshole23 yeah right, and you'll be the first person to call the police when you need help. Cophaters are all the same, you hate the police because you get caught doing something wrong. It's never your fault that you were driving 30 mph over the speed limit, it's the cop's fault for handing you a ticket. Just the hall monitor in school, I bet you hated him too when you got caught skipping class. Obey the law and you'll never be bothered.
bostonianpeacekeeper 5 months ago
@bostonianpeacekeeper look who is talking here, you like men in uniform dont you pig? do you have a fetish for men in uniform? or did you share beds with a cop last night? let me tell you something pig, I am talking about the police abuses that is happening around the country daily. I am talking about the ones who abuses their authority by profiling the minority. While this is happening, you like to turn the blind eye and deaf ear. I do obey the law, I am a tax paying citizen and Iraqi veteran.
coolasshole23 5 months ago
@coolasshole23 Oh, and to inform you of the officer that got arrested google Gary Wade. He won several million in a lawsuit against the troopers. But as it turns out, he is an ass after all. Police are searching for him. He beat a woman so severely that she has been hospitalized in critical condition. And the former cop who could do no wrong is just about as big of a criminal as the come. Perhaps the troopers weren't as bad as some posters here paint them to be.
bostonianpeacekeeper 5 months ago
@bostonianpeacekeeper if you approach me with that kind of logic, I am willing to do the same in return. I am not talking about this case, I am glad the police arrested this man and did what they had to do. However, I am talking about the police abuses like beating a mentally ill homeless man so bad, that he ended up dying in a hospital. With that being said, how come you dont comment on the crooked cops are violating the U.S constitution?
coolasshole23 5 months ago
@coolasshole23 I already answered: There are crooked cops, just as there are crooked soldiers. No matter the profession you'll always find someone that is less than worthy for that position. When it comes to police, research shows that less than 1/2 of 1% are crooked cops or abusive cops. It's the lowest percentage out of any profession in the U.S. The highest, and to no surprise, is politicians, with an astounding 6%. That's roughly 4 politicians in each state.
bostonianpeacekeeper 5 months ago
@coolasshole23 And much of the "crooked cops violating the U.S. Constitution" is perceptual and subjective. The Constitution has been ripped to shreds in the courts, especially federal courts. An example is police in your home without a warrant. If they come to your home for legitimate reason and see blood outside of your home, but no one answers the door or responds, some state laws say they can enter to insure you're safe. Federal law says they can't. (cont)
bostonianpeacekeeper 5 months ago
@coolasshole23 It's called the Emergency Exception Clause. They can enter under exigent circumstances, like chasing a fleeing criminal or hearing someone screaming for help. But under the Federal Law, seeing blood outside of a home does not constitute an exigent circumstance. There are countless lawsuits every year for this. Are those crooked cops? Or are those cops who were geniunely concerned for the safety of the residents? (cont)
bostonianpeacekeeper 5 months ago
@coolasshole23 most people would say that they are good cops who took the chance of violating the 4th Amendment for the greater good. Constitutionalists would argue that even the most remote violation is nonetheless a violation. So is right or wrong? Neither, technically, it's all just a matter of how you perceive each potential violation. The courts are no different. That's why the Constitution has become so vague and so altered that to imply that someone violated the Constitution (cont)
bostonianpeacekeeper 5 months ago
@coolasshole23 or is a crooked cop with no concern of the Constitution comes down to a simple matter of interpretation and articulation on the part of the police officer and the victim of such a violation. Beating someone within an inch of their life is NOT a Constitutional violation, it's a crime. When they say that someone's Constitutional rights have been violated they are saying that the crime was committed by the government. If you beat me up, it's only a crime. (cont)
bostonianpeacekeeper 5 months ago
@coolasshole23 So you have to ask yourself, is an abusive cop a violator of the Constitution or a plain old fashioned thug criminal?
bostonianpeacekeeper 5 months ago
@bostonianpeacekeeper Both, you have to be a thug cop at first in order to violate the constitution, and when you violate someone's right, you are a violator of the constitution because the cop is a public servant.
coolasshole23 5 months ago
@coolasshole23 And that's my point, the only reason it's considered a constitutional violation is because they are government officials. If a cook did the same thing it's not a constitutional violation. Of course police officers have a higher standard of conduct, but why? Aren't they human like you and I? So therefore, it's offly incredible that such a low percentage of officers have violated the constitution.
bostonianpeacekeeper 5 months ago
@bostonianpeacekeeper Because the crooks dont represent the government and they are not a public servants, the police are. The police swore an oath to defend, protect, and to uphold the constitution, street thugs didnt. The police receive their salaries from tax paying citizens (You and I).About the police misconduct being low I disagree, it is actually on the rise. The reason you think it is low because it is unreported by the superiors or the complaints wont go anywhere. If looked you see more
coolasshole23 5 months ago
@coolasshole23 Do you say the same thing about fellow soldiers when they commit a crime? Do you claim they violated the Constitution? How about politicians? Why aren't you holding those professions to the same standard as you hold police officers? And how do you conclude that police misconduct is on the rise if it goes unreported? Because of YouTube? And how do you know it's happening if it's not reported? I look at the stats... I don't see a rise, not even close. (cont)
bostonianpeacekeeper 5 months ago
@coolasshole23 This country's most corrupt era was the 70's and 80's for police. Times have changed and police have evolved. In the 70's if you reported a cop beating, you'd probably be next. Nowadays there are clear cut complaint procedures and outside monitoring agencies, like CALEA and the NIJ. The depts would lose money if they didn't take complaints seriously. It's not so easy to let abuses slide anymore.
bostonianpeacekeeper 5 months ago
@bostonianpeacekeeper The 90s as well, you know with the whole Rodney King beating, and racial profiling still exists today. However, there have been an improvement since then, but it is far from cut and clear. There was an undercover story ABC did to monitor the complaint procedure, 7 out 10 police departments wont hand you the complaint form. Sometimes you get arrested because they make an excuse in order to delay the complaint. Most of these complaints either get lost. still some work to do
coolasshole23 5 months ago
@coolasshole23 I saw that ABC report too. It wasn't available with closed captions at the time, but I got the gist of it. Yeah, it's investigative reporting, lawsuits, complaints, police arrests and departments leading by example that molded what police is today. It was positive for both the public and the police. I doubt it will ever be perfect, but at least we don't have school bullies with badges to the degree that existed in the 40's.
bostonianpeacekeeper 5 months ago
@bostonianpeacekeeper I wouldnt say that bro, we still got some work to do. Here are is the problem with the hiring process, cops dont get the psychologically test, and some of these cops are just ticking time bombs, or loose cannons. So, if they can get the psychological testing done, we will have a much better an trained police officers.
coolasshole23 5 months ago
@coolasshole23 I don't know what state you live, but in PA that's done with every police department. If you Google Philadelphia Police Dept Hiring Process you'll see that it's one of the areas covered during the hiring process. I can't say it's the case with every police dept, in every state, but I couldn't find a single police department (by googling) that didn't have a psychological exam. If there is one out there, then I agree, the dept is in the dark ages.
bostonianpeacekeeper 5 months ago
@bostonianpeacekeeper It is a requirement by the department policy, however, it can be waved off if the recruitment rate is low. Look up "cop threatens to kill" its the first video the one with 780,000 hits. Watch it, read it, and let me know what you think.
coolasshole23 5 months ago
@coolasshole23 I wouldn't know the first thing about waiving the psychological requirement. I doubt they can do it in PA, it's part of the laws outlined to be a police officer.
Yeah, that cop was way out of line in that video you gave me. Talk about an overreaction. He's part of that 1% apparently. That kind of police work is not appreciated by the public, nor the department. I know they have a tough job, some just can't handle the emotional aspect.
bostonianpeacekeeper 5 months ago
@bostonianpeacekeeper A very interesting debate you and cool...23 had, I'd like to commend you both for keeping it clean and respectful considering the emotional nature of the topic and the unfortunate tendency on YouTube to go straight for the gutter talk and macho posturing. Police have a very difficult job to do and some fail quite miserably to remember to "serve and protect" and let fear and insecurity overwhelm them. Thank you both.

Cops dont want to see a citizen with open carry without the harassment.. get a life pig
coolasshole23 5 months ago
@coolasshole23 I doubt you're a veteran. Veteran's have more respect than you. You're just plain simple with a narrow mind. You have no idea what happened in this incident, you only have a blirp from a dash cam video. And yet you choose to categorize cops into one simple and very convenient term: pig. Yet, as an alleged veteran you fail to see the bravery and heroism of the profession. Sure there are bad cops, one arrested in this video. Just as there are bad soldiers.
bostonianpeacekeeper 5 months ago
@coolasshole23 You only see cops as "pigs" and "abusive." If you were a soldier you'd be empathize with such harsh language. Soldiers too are categorized so viciously by our society. So you'd thought you'd contribute you're two cents of hatred for a profession that you probably aspired to be as boy. The only people that hate cops are those that got caught being bad, and even they are few. You use cop hating as your pin cushion for your inner failures.
bostonianpeacekeeper 5 months ago
@coolasshole23 And BTW - I'm not a cop. My screen name has a historical reference. I doubt any police departments are looking to hire the hearing impaired, hearing I lost in Iraq when an RPG struck the building my platoon was in. I also lost most of my vision in my right eye and I have limited mobility in my neck. It took me 15 months to rehab in Germany. Then another 2 years to learn sign language. I've given plenty to my country. Which is why arrogant pricks like you annoy me.

Det. ID himself, but the troopers tried to disarm him there was a trooper on each side of the open doors. He wouldn't let them take his gun out the holster so they pepper sprayed him and then commenced to beating that ass. After that day I have never seen the full incident replayed.
