  • Pretty pathetic that the US gov't won't use a military flight. I am very surprised that they used a civvy plane. That never happens in Canada. Not the Marines fault, its the government. I had 2 friends k.i.a. in Afghanistan and I would be outraged if they were palletized and sent home on a civvy plan like this and treated like cargo vs. a fallen hero. Semper Fi Marine!!!!!!

    ~Cpl. _____ ______, the Royal Canadian Dragoons

  • @klink1983 This Marine did not die in Afghanistan or Iraq he passed away state side and was being returned to his family. I think we showed the utmost respect. I grieve for his family and was honored to care for him during his transfer in ATL. If you read the explanation below you would see the reason for the way he arrived in ATL. I thank you for your service, my son really enjoyed the Canadian Forces he meet in Afghanistan, and Thanks to all who serve

  • @freightbully It's not there or I missed it, makes sense. I've even seen some videos of US K.I.A. repats done by way of civvy flight. Is that normal, or budget constraints? When was your son there? I was there in 2010 in the Panjwayi.

  • @klink1983 we do get repats remains, my son was there in 07,09. thanks Brian

  • @jewishleafbleeder DON'T 4get JEWISHleafbleeder the .U.S soldiers helped free u from the Nazis Bitch

  • Magna Cum Laude to Delta

    Rob from Canada

  • Thank you Delta

  • Jewishleafbleeder.....fuck off ya stupid KIKE.

  • @Jewishleafbleeder first off he's not a crying army bitch. He's a marine and a damn brave one. For someone to willingly give there life for something they personally believe in is a great sacrifice. Now what you do for a living, is talk Shit about our military on YouTube is just pathetic if I say so. All I'm on here to do is pay my respects to a fallen brother who happens to be a fellow marine. Now just keep your comments to yourself and let this respected marine rest in piece. SEMPER FI BROTHER

  • Glad I saw that. Thanks for posting. That was probably the second most impressive tribute I have seen involving civilian air/ground crews. The first was when the American Airlines Pilot flew the American flag outside the cockpit window upon arrival shortly after 9/11/01.

  • Class Act Delta Airlines, Thank you, and thank you all military personnel for all that you do

  • Delta did a wonderful job God Bless this wonderful soilder.I have only one thing to say to Mr.Paulpreist.It is because of you Righteous idiots we got in this stupid war .Religious zealots of any kind may you all rot in hell. This soilder gave his life for medival views and backward people..What a waste of a human life.Thank who ever this soilders family. This and a video from Ohare moved me to tears.

  • @TheKingdom89 -Show some damn respect. It's not a package he's a person. @MrPaulpreist -I hope you rot in hell. It's people like this who die for your freedom to say shit like that. I hope "The Righteousness of God" fulfills on you, you sac of shit.

  • @8Jhartzell They can't. To respect others first requires self-respect.

  • its like they receiving a package!

  • They killed innocent people dead and came back! The righteousness of God was fulfilled!

  • I use to work on the airport ramp at the Atlanta, Ga airport which is Deltas head quarters and there are hundreds of deceased people, soldiers included being transported home daily. Its a sad thing but its life...

  • God bless the Chaplin, the soldier in the casket, may his soul rest in forever bliss and peace, god bless america, and the UNITED STATES MILITARY.

  • I'm ddrowning in my tears this family is in my prayers

  • Thank you for posting this. My husband is active duty and I'm a 4 year veteran. Now a sahm. RIP.

  • @ gatekeeper2012 I would like to explain the arrival of the fallen Marine…Flight 836 came into ATL from Honolulu, because this is an “overwater flight” of over 8+ hours it is a requirement that everything be secured.

  • So the fallen is placed on the cargo pallet and strapped down so if turbulence is encountered he will not be thrown around the cargo hold, he was placed on pallets and covered with a plastic rain cover so if when en route to the aircraft and while waiting to be loaded any inclement weather would not soak his casket

  • . If you noticed when he arrived in ATL we took off the cargo strapping and placed our flag on his remains to facilitate a dignified transfer. The reason nobody was there was because he was not home yet, he was transferring in Atlanta to his final destination, but there was, as you can see many people there to meet him, myself “ the large man talking to the Marine and loading him into a specially made cart to get him to his transfer flight”

  • @freightbully That is WONDERFUL that those Delta guys gave honor to this process to make it as dignified as possible. People who have served I'm sure feel an obligation and an honor to fellow service people. Thanks for explaining what happened here.

  • 3 of the men holding the flags have served in the U.S. Marine Corps, the gentleman helping me load this fallen Marine has a nephew in the U.S. Marine Corps, one of the men holding the flags has never served but his family has paid a heavy price. He lost his brother in desert storm, and his father was a SGM in the U.S. Army, who passed away after the Vietnam war and one of the other gentlemen served over 20 years in the U.S. Air Force,

  • and the man in the suit is a chaplain from the interfaith chapel and came in on his own time to assist and comfort and console this Marine escort. I sir have never had the honor of service but it was because I was injured in High School and could not pass the medical exam. This is my way of serving by taking care of those who do serve, over the last 5 years I have cared for and transferred over 1100 fallen heroes,

  • I have a son who serves now and has made 2 trips to Afghanistan and my father retired as a MSgt from the USAF, my Son escorted my Dads remains a few years ago and could not be more proud of him. Look at “DADS HONORS” on youtube. I will continue to honor all who serve and find this to be the greatest thing I have done in my 29 years with Delta…THANK YOU to all who serve,…Brian

  • Really really he gave all and they sent him home on some forklift pallets and shrinkwrap that is extremely said there was nobody else there to welcome him home it brings me to tears each time I watch a was young warrior rest in peace

  • @gatekeeper2012 That is a transport crate. Within the crate is the casket. They use it and the shrink wrap to make sure the casket isn't damaged during the transport process.

  • @gatekeeper2012 I'm not so sure that he cares how he got home as long as he is home. I know for a fact that I would not care as long as I go my proper burial as I'm sure this Marine did.

    Semper Fidelis Welcome Home.

  • @gatekeeper2012 The forklift pallets are to help buffer the casket during the long plane ride, for lack of a better though they are like shock absorbers. The shrink wrap is for the exterior box and has all the necessary labels and documentation that needs to stay with the body firmly attached to the outter box and there WERE people there welcoming him home... this isnt the tranfer of the body to the family.. this is the xfer from the plane to the local mortuary service. Really be considerate.
