So this is the prototype to "Eruption". It's very impressive and a nice find. Too bad Adnoydall has to be a troll on par with Justin Beiber and Uwe Boll for over 40 pages. For the Record, I prefer David Gilmour but Eddie is still a guitar hero.
I dunno what it is but his early tone is much more pillowy and chewy sounding. His later tone was perhaps too layered with effects. Still, it's fun to hear this unrefined take with a lot of edge.

As for the greatest solo of all time i dont really have One that id pick out. but i really did love some of the hendrix live solos and stairway was Great too but i certainly would have a problem saying what the best solo would be. For now i love this solo. ive learnt it but certainly still have to work out the unorthadox timing this solo has to offer.

I was playing in a punk/alternative band recently with people about your age who did not live through the 80s who had no sense of what was going on then either in the kind of metal Van Halen and other Americans did (other than thrash) and no clue that there was even underground American hardcore punk rebelling against that at the same time, let alone UK postpunk. Listen to that sweet fat tone! While I love the Floyd Rose and Eddie sure played fantastic with it, the original string through steel block on that original Fender tremolo produced a tone that was warmer and fuller. From what I've read, Eddie felt the same way.
I've always been amazed by how fast Eddie's tremolo and alternate picking is, and every note is articulated very cleanly. Even then, his tone was spot on!

As for the greatest solo of all time i dont really have One that id pick out. but i really did love some of the hendrix live solos and stairway was Great too but i certainly would have a problem saying what the best solo would be. For now i love this solo. ive learnt it but certainly still have to work out the unorthadox timing this solo has to offer.

I was playing in a punk/alternative band recently with people about your age who did not live through the 80s who had no sense of what was going on then either in the kind of metal Van Halen and other Americans did (other than thrash) and no clue that there was even underground American hardcore punk rebelling against that at the same time, let alone UK postpunk.
