  • They sound so proud. Shame their team would go through rough times shortly after this.

  • oh my gosh, check out the guy at 2:20. hahahaha!!!!

  • Bengals nation has been using WHO DEY since 79-80 and its already beenb known and made popular in the footbal comunity, the clown ass saints didnt start saying who dat untill like 83 fucking straight biters. its not new knowledge

  • what's your source, EricHx85 ?

  • @EricHx85 The term Who Dat was popularized from minstrel shows during the roaring 20's. They used the term originated by slaves during the civil war era. ST.Augustine H.S. in New Orleans used to term Who Dat starting in the mid 70's where it was later picked up by LSU.

  • Who is the guy at the 2:05 mark in the black shirt and gray sweats?

  • Wide Receiver Tim McGee

  • Thanks.

  • This came way before the Saint's Who Dat they don't even have documentation about it

  • @ leeroy317, To settle this argument, why don't you GOOGLE this topic and you'll become enlightened to find out that the "who dat" chant started in New Orleans' schools and south Louisiana Black colleges in the late '60s and early '70s. To TEEKEN123, you said "who dat-don't even make no sense". "who dey" means "who's they" and "who dat" means "who's that"! Now which one "makes no sense"? Geaux Saints geaux and lassiez le bon ton roule! (Bengals can't even come up with slogans like N.O.)

  • Who Dey started in 81 and Who Dat started in 83

  • @leeroy317, I don't know what it'll take to convince you that like i said, This term (who dat?) started in the late '60s and early '70s in NEW ORLEANS BLACK PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL BANDS AND FOOTBALL TEAMS, in other words, that chant has been floating around New Orleans since forever!! How do you know when "who dat" started??? What source did you go to for that conclusion?

  • Whatever bro who DAT and congrats on the big win

  • I'm witcha' leeroy, thanx much!

  • @leeroy317 sorry I'm later here, but you're right. The bengals used the term whodey before the saints used whodat. The Saints were late to the party though. Who dat was originally used by the st augustine marching band in New orleans, and later picked up by the football team in the mid 70's. it was later used by the LSU tigers before the Saints under HC Bum Phillips used it.

  • no, 'who dey' means 'who do they', meaning 'who do they think is going to beat 'them bengals'. just to be clear

  • thanks for the ''who-dey'' rap that belongs to the bengals let the saints get there own logo song we own ''who dey' let them say who dat that don't even make no sense.

  • i wish that gay joe montannah wouldnt have robbed us from are win

  • BENGALS GOING TO DEY SUPER BOWL AGAIN

  • How do you like us now?

  • SWEEP DEM STEELERS TODAY!!!!

  • SUPER BOWL BOUND! We're going to Miami again!

  • This song was actually produced by Cincinnati's own ZAPP member Greg Jackson sitting at the mixing console in the hat. Some people try to take credit for everything! Here's the proof!!!!!

  • As in Roger Troutman and ZAPP? Excellent stuff. Helluva band! Keep up the good work and thanks for the tidbit! WHO DEY!

    Bengals are back!!!!

  • Who dey! Who dey! Who dey think gonna beat dem Bengals? NOBODY!

  • sejb12992, there was a beer made in cincinnati called the hudy or something like that. we didn't steal it from your stupid LSU team we got it from the beer. in 1981 we started saying who dey then a year later you say who dat chant imitating us

WHO DEY! THE STEELERS GAME LAST WEEK WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Stealers suck!!! Who Dey!

  • hahahaa calm down

  • WHO DEY

  • are they trying to copy the '85 bears super bowl shuffle

  • Who Dey sucks, those stupid retarded unoriginal Bengals fan shitheads stole our chant.

  • Saints shitheads stole the Who Dat chant from LSU in 1982. You don't have room to talk.

  • The Who Dat chant has been around for centuries. And besides, there's plenty of LSU fans who are also Saints fans, so they just used the chant to support both teams.

  • and who exactly is 'OUR'?? Jackass, who dey was original, everyone is now trying to copy our chant

  • Idiot, "Who Dat" was a chant that was started by LSU fans, and then those SAME LSU fans who were also SAINTS fans carried the chant over to the Superdome and started using it to support the Saints. Then some stupid washed up hillbilly Bengals fans stole OUR chant and turned it into "Who Dey", which makes ZERO sense.

  • best song of all time...anyone wanna know why the bengals are the best franchise in sports history just ask me

  • I'm baffled. Please explain this to me.

  • The Steelers were the laughingstock of pro football for their first 50 years. Got lucky when Franco scooped the ball off the turf in 72.

  • you must have been asleep when the Bucks went 14-0 and won the big one

  • Question - where was Cris Collinsworth, Boomer Esiason, Tim Krumrie, etc.?

Looks like white players just didn't want to have anything to do with this. LOL

  • this has nothing on the super bowl shuffle!

  • Would you be saying this if the Bengals had won Superbowl XXIII?

Amazing how much better a song can sound when the team "performing" the song wins the big one. LOL

  • DEM 49ers WAS DEY!!!!!!!!

  • You're wrong for that!

  • Ahhh look at Solomon Wilcots! The Solomon Wilcots I see on t.v. today is so straightlaced, professional, reserved - it's a trip to see this other side to him! He has a nice voice when he does that rapping part.

This is a well-done low-budget video. I like the "quick cuts" of the game-action shots inserted in between the studio footage, etc.

Which song is better? This one - or "Buddy's Watching You" sung by the 1988(?) Philadelphia Eagles?

  • His name is Mike Martin. He was a WR and punt returner for the Bengals in the mid-80's. He recently stepped down as coach of the Taft Senators high school football team in downtown Cincinnati.

Personally I like this song better. It has a catchy tune and lyric that stays with you.

  • Who was the guy doing the singing parts? My brother has a musical ear and fashions himself a Simon Cowell...& he thinks the guy sings pretty well! For my bro to give that man that compliment to *this* video - that's high praise.

  • This is the greatest piece of music. ever.

  • mehh, u gotta see the eagles=buddy's watchin you. better players, lyrics, hook, and beat

  • WHO DEY

  • FREAKIN AWESOME!!! WHO DEY!

  • good times

  • This is hilarious!! Why dont they make stuff like this any more? Icky sounds the worst by far!!

    Anywho.....Who Dey !?!?

  • Old school, simple and cool.

    WHO DEY!

  • NOOOOOOBODY!

  • AWESOME!!
