I thought it was real, but Dan is right even if something looks bad you might just not understand the play in the circumstances. There are 16 personality types amongst humans, we don't all think alike and reacting in each situation according to position, stack sizes, blinds, and player styles, with the cards and position can make things hard to understand for someone not in those exact circumstances.

This video is a planned joke, these professional poker players and interviewers rarely make mistakes whilst in an interview. The insulting would not have continued for as long as it did and Daniel knows better than to act with violence with his reputation as a pro poker player on the line.

On a side note, I have confidence in Daniel Negreanu being a popular poker commentator and host in the future, he has so much knowledge and passion to offer and he definitely enjoys expressing himself.
