Hmmm I don't think Irene victims would be in these parts and I KNOW it's not for victims as there are troops in those buildings. Some of you who watch and comment are so far from awake it's heart wrenching! i think there are too many assumptions being made on some very uninformative photos here. Are you aware of how many towns and people's homes were devastated by hurricane irene? The national guard was in one of the towns i work in for 4 days after the storm. If you had pictures of that it could look like a military occupation under martial law, but it wasn't. they were merely directing traffic, handing out ice and bottled water.
