Emanuel syn.) which result from the spontaneous mutation or mis-transcription of genomic sequences during meiosis (for you thats 'how babies are made'). Since thousands of genes can be duplicated by this means and there are hundred examples of both deleterious (bad) and benefical mutations is it hard to see that if similar changes are highly advantageous then those mutants are the ones which have more offpring.

Panspermia does work, since they have confirmed bacteria fossils in meteorites - google that too. If you take time to look, you actually might see something.

There is no evidence whatsoever for intersellar movement of asteroids (where there might be habitable exoplanets) because the distances are too great. Those ET fossils on ALH84001 are far from unequivocal (they can also form from geophysical processes). Same with the PAH and Magnetite concentrations. Also, I'm studying an MSc in Astrobiology so, unlike you I have some clue about this stuff.
@realbirder Interplanetary panspermia could work by natural processes if life did indeed exist on Mars (or for other potential habitats like Europa or the upper Venusian atmosphere), but interstella panspermia would require technology for travel at extremely high speeds. There is a reason why theories like the one in this video are confined to youtube and not scientific journals.

I think the confusion stems from the fact that life has to keep suffering setbacks. The original bacteria that arrived on earth should not contain the future genetic code for a house cat, but perhaps ancient traits resurface once conditions become favorable to do so. Who is to say there are not bacteria in space that store genetic codes and are spread from planet to planet? Perhaps they do follow a genetic path that ensures they carry on over millions of years. There is no evidence whatsoever for intersellar movement of asteroids (where there might be habitable exoplanets) because the distances are too great. Those ET fossils on ALH84001 are far from unequivocal (they can also form from geophysical processes). Same with the PAH and Magnetite concentrations. Also, I'm studying an MSc in Astrobiology so, unlike you I have some clue about this stuff.

I think the confusion stems from the fact that life has to keep suffering setbacks. The original bacteria that arrived on earth should not contain the future genetic code for a house cat, but perhaps ancient traits resurface once conditions become favorable to do so. Who is to say there are not bacteria in space that store genetic codes and are spread from planet to planet? Perhaps they do follow a genetic path that ensures they carry on over millions of years. Actually that is incorrect. Many schools teach both intelligent design and evolution. Texas is a prime example of a state that teaches both.
Also, there is a HUGE difference in observed variations within family classifications (what some call "microevolution" and the UNobserved religion of macroevolution.

Its hard to explain what makes you come into this planet as the body you appear in and form. Events wrote what that book contains in the first place, and to say that the book is finished and that all that exists is copies, is utter craziness.
