  • I'd love to see videos like this in real time, or at least only two or three times real speed.

  • wish that song was on a ministry of sound compilation

  • That's impressive. Can you do Tortosa to Barcelona Estacio de Franca in 2 minutes?

  • im travelling on this in july...for someone who doesn't like tunnels il be going through a lot!!

  • Awesome!

  • I would love to visit England one day!

  • That is a very long straigh section from the start! Ideal place for high-speed testing?

  • People cant get out of Hull fast enough.

  • oi, nowt wrong with hull. its a great place to be. every city has a bad patch, and the rest of the country just seem to focus on one of our bad patches and then stereotypes the rest of hull as the same. well it aint

  • it is in fast mo

  • How about Edinburgh to Plymouth in 10 minutes?

  • Or Thurso to Penzance in 2??!!!

  • whats the cheapes option to goto London from Hull?

  • walk

  • haha!

  • Whoever would want to walk?????? Cathc a airplane!

  • Railtourer Ltd do day trips to London from Hull for £26. They'r tlephone numer is 01482 659082

  • I dunno.

  • DMU - Class 158

    DEMU - Class 221

    EMU - Class 390

    Loco - Class 43

  • on the way to london we switched at doncaster the train from there to london was bad

  • if only the tranis were this fast, not only would noone live in london, and not only would you have a fast journey, but nxec could probably own 3 trains and have one leave from edinburgh to london and back every ten minutes with time to spare!!!

  • first stop is Brough - Where I live!

  • Who care where you live!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love it!!!

  • lol love it!!

  • Cool music,now I'm out of breath!lol Good video.

  • if trains were this fast.. no one would live in london!

  • then let us hope they never do so that Londoners can stay in London!

  • haha! good point..

  • what is the music in the background please as that is pretty funky :)

  • if BR can find a train this fast, their problems will be solved

  • what was the song?

  • Pretty cool

  • How about Manchester to Brighton in 5 minutes

  • I've done this route in the cab of a Hull trains Pioneer, encountered signal failures and a storm in Grantham. Journey time is around 3 hours.

The Pendolino cab rides are the best!

  • well that's still very fast!

  • wooooooohhhhh!! fast! whats next? penzance to wick in 1 minute???

  • What r the stops? I cant read them verry well.

  • Hull, Brourgh, Howden, Selby, Doncaster, Grantham and London Kings Cross

  • OK.

  • @Railspot u missed retford

  • LOL i saw the forth rail bridge

  • How about Dalgety Bay to edinburgh in 30 seconds?

  • Ok,

  • 64x probably.

  • Tjis take 3 hourd=s in real life.

  • looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • I love Scotrail.

  • My son loves this, he keeps asking to watch it,so more of the same please!

  • Brilliant!!I live in hull never travelled to london..recognised up 2 doncaster then for me it was a revelation.didn't know there was so many tunnels on way 2 london!

  • Wow thats good!

  • I thought that this video would be boring.... and then I found myself watching the whole 3 minutes... Coooool. Luv the music!!

  • YAY first stop is Brough - Where I live :D

  • Who cares

  • A DELTIC and eight would have done it faster

  • LOL i wish the trains in my area would go as fast as this

  • I loved that music! Cheesy, yes, but quite fun.

The only criticism is that maybe you should slow it down to real time as you approah KX station, because it would have been nice to see that from that perspective.

  • whats wrong with the music? i like it.

  • get rid of that trashy music

  • If public transport was this fast, i think we would all use it.

  • Yet anopther potentially good Youtube video killed by dumbdown music in the background.

It's not exactly as if people are going to miss it if it's not there.

  • WOAH!!! i;m there already, now that was a quick journey

  • see how long it takes you to get from London to HULL on the same route.lol.Hehehehe

  • oh no i didn't! haha i'm so cool...

  • heyy i well took this route when i went to london haha!

    great video :)

  • God what bloody awful "music". :o(

    Great vid though!

    *turns sound off*

  • That was brilliant! I've never seen the ECML like that before!

  • i went on holiday to london i had to change at doncaster the train was packed there were no seats i wish the real train journey was this fast

  • My favourite is Intercity 125!!! It's by far the best but I like 153's because some of them look like tanks!

  • yeah, certainly made the day go quicker. If I wasn't doing the crossword I was on my mobile texting mates or winding up the new trainees.

Stopped at Newark flat crossing on the up once and asked the trainee guard to check both ways before I would continue, he did as well !! ha ha ha !

  • Have you ever missed a station or has your TPWS gone off suddenly ever?

  • yeah, but only when I wasn't busy texting mates or winding up the new staff. I once stopped at newark flat crossing on the up and asked the new trainee guard to check both ways !! He did as well. ha ha ha

  • Wow! You weren't sacked by any chance were you?

  • I was one of the original drivers for hull trains back in 2000. Many of my trips used to fly by and felt like this video, usually because I had my head buried in the crossword.

  • I was at Aberdeen on the 20th of Feruary, and heard some 170s in real life for the first time. I think it's a good train as well. For EMUs, my favourite is either the 323 or 465. I like the Class 91, but there is nothing like hearing the scream of a Class 43

  • What's everyone's favourite DMU by the way? My favourite is the Class 158 Express.

  • If Pioneers or any of the advanced diesel trains were that fast, we could finally beat the Japanese at something! (With reference to the bullet train)

  • That was pretty quick.

  • You do mean 222? only Virgin have 221s

  • I think that Hull Trains borrowed some Super Voyagers from Virgin and had them converted into Pioneers. Or Railspot could have put 221 by accident. lol :p

  • Two words... First & Hull = urgh

  • Have those seatbelts fastened and keep all body parts and loose objects inside the vehicle at all times! Brilliant video there!

  • Cool vid, I don't suppose you have the normal version do you? ;) by the way what song is in this vid?

  • A very fast train indeed!
