I'd say the safest spot is to enter the wrecked zone on the left edge of the sidewalk. Watch the video I linked in the description.

I was reset once on the sidewalk. Um, you're not the only ones in the world that found this out on their own. I wasnt one of them :P but it's not all you, I heard it from a rumor on ign boards soon after the demo came out and I not until recently tried it.

Ha. Yeah you do. This is only 35%, which is a pain to get into and freezes if you go out of. Plus there are only 3 events in the demo, and no cars in the extra part.
