  • Here's a joke:

How many DW fans does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

    Just one.

But it's never as good as the old one.

  • That was great!

  • How do you do this? I'd love to create my own Dallas style credits for shows I like!

  • I would love to know what font you used for the titles?

  • Q R S T U V ...

  • Such good stuff, I'd love to see this with all 11 doctors.

  • So perfect I'm speechless. ;P

  • Just awesome!

  • R.I.P Elizabeth Sladen

  • Good work!! I'll watch that over The price is right.

  • Do you, by any chance, take requests? You might consider making a Twin Peaks version, then. I think a fine match with the mysterious and extraterrestrial events in both series.

Anyway, great work you've already done!!

  • Damn those 15 people! This is BRILLIANT!!!! Well Done!

  • Bravo!

  • Fanbloodytastic ! Round of applause !

  • elisabeth sladen :(

  • The BBC actually started the season ending cliffhanger format in 1978 with Blakes 7 1st season on the episode "Orac" when Orac showed a prediction that the Liberator would blow up.

  • That.Was.BRILLIANT!

OK, a few years old but I'm glad I got to see this :D

  • This is great. Really well done.

  • Really great and creative!

  • This is incredibly well done.

The way you captured the different faces, sometimes from only one episode, is most impressive. You caught the feel of both shows.

  • Brilliant. I love it. Great work.

  • That's so... cute! Reminds me of the old classic computer games, for some reason. Sweet.

  • This Suits the New Crap actually! SOAP!

  • @therealKINDLE If you diss the new show, you diss the old. It's all one thing.

  • @ACtheLegend Oh really? Tell me ONE thing that the nu show has in common withe REAL show of old, accept for the blatent aspect that there a Police Box in it.

  • @therealKINDLE The Doctor, Daleks, Cybermen, The Master, Sonic Screwdriver, Sarah-Jane Smith, K-9, Sontarans, Silurians, Macra, Autons, Ice Warriors, Time-Travel, Space-Travel, corridors, running in corridors, occasional naff special effects, occassional naff scripts, the first eight incarnations of The Doctor (on 4 occasions). I know you asked for ONE thing, but I thought I'd just make my point with a few more.

  • @ACtheLegend Well, The Dr now kisses his companions, Daleks have been reduced to Power Rangers, Cybermen are Marching Robots without a Chest unit, The Master Cried like a Pussy, The Sonic "Plot Solving Device", Sarah is Old & wrinckly, K-9 had barely any Script, Sontarans now make Friends with Humans, Silurians are now "Sexy" Females with Whip Tongues, Etc. They are ALL Completely Different. The Music is uninspired Orchestrated crap, The FX are NON-Creative, No Models, No Time for Script, etc.

  • @therealKINDLE The Doctor doesn't kiss companions. Daleks are still Daleks, How do you know what the Cybermen will look like, there haven't been any press photos yet. The Master cried in the old series. Sonic Screwdriver was always a plot solving device, Sarah Jane ages because EVERYONE ages. K-9 never had much script, Sontaran's were using the human to gain a tactical advantage (not friends) if you think Silurians are sexy, that's weird, music was always orchestrated, great models & scripts

  • @ACtheLegendThe Master Cried in the Old Series? Old Meaning "Classic". I think not. Everyone has cried in the Nu Crap. The Dalek turned into a suicidal calamity.. Very Scarey! I've seen a Cyberman Cry, The Android in the Daleks Story cried, the Dr Cried, etc. The Sonic Screw Driver opened Doors for the most part, now it does what ever you want it to. The Cybermen of the New Series are just Tin men who march like Soldiers. K9 had a LOT more lines, like in Stones of Blood & had a Character.

  • @therealKINDLE The Silurians are Females for the most part now & yes they have been made to look sexy & not like Pre-historic Monsters. The Music was NEVER 100% Orchestrated. So don't try that one on with me. The Classic Series used Electronic Music, & even when Dudley Simpson was using Real Instruments, he used Electonic elements to give it a completely unique Sound. Now it's just insipid, & the Same 5 bits of Music are used in Every Story. The HU crap uses CGI. Classics used MODELS.

  • @therealKINDLE And then you get the Soap Opera Crap. The Dr Doesn't KISS Companions? Let me tell you something.. You won't get anywhere by lying in life. The Dr has Kissed Rose (The whole Love affair), he Kissed Martha, etc. He even Kisses this new Twit Kiss-o-Gram Porn Star wana be in "flesh & Stone". So don't give me that shit ok? Dr Who was a Creative, Budget FX, Sci-Fi TV Series with Unique Music, Realised SFX, Well written Scripts & Good acting. It's NOT what has been on since 2005.

  • @therealKINDLE To be fair, Rose was kissed by the ninth to save her life. She - as Cassandra - kissed the 10th, so that technically wasn't her. Then 10th had to get hyper emotional and start kissing everyone. Martha's first kiss - and I think maybe only - in her first episode, was again the Doctor trying to delay the Judoon finding an alien - him (meaning transfer biodata). Donna's ONE kiss was HER Kissing HIM to save his life, and in the 11th's case AMY kissed the doctor and he did NOT want it.

  • @therealKINDLE So, in conclusion - before you say much, it's ONLY the 10th incarnation who has kissed someone because he just wanted to snog someone in the current run. Ninth did only to save Rose's life and 11th has NOT wanted to kiss anyone, preferring instead to go about tasting everything and anything to get an analysis of it. The air kisses are meant to be funny and show he's not a human. It's also why it invokes such weird responses, which are more characteristic of the Doctor persona.

  • @jadewarlock I don't care WHY. I Do not associate Dr Who with Kissing at ALL. Do you know why? Because there isn't any kissing in Dr Who. The writers were more creative & Innovative than that. They also didn't throw money at every problem. They thought outside the box, & managed to pioneer a whole new world. Everything was unique in Dr Who. The FX, the Music, the Stories, the Story Lengths, everything. You can have your Ja Ja Binks soap trite. But we shall always have Dr WHO. 63-89.

  • @therealKINDLE Whoa Dude - grow up and wait a second before you jump to conclusions again. I am someone who watched the show back in its heyday (was born during T. Baker's era). BOTH eras are creative and both tell stories. I don't care about the kissing - though I DID get irritated with the 10th and Rose nonsense.

And Moffat has had to work AROUND CGI and has a Doctor who HATES being kissed in Smith.

  • @jadewarlock I Don't see how fighting Dr Who's corner is childish? Maybe you don't value it much, but it's very important to me. How can you claim the Nu stuff is Creative when they just throw money at it? It was the opposite for the classics. I know people that do more impressive work & they're not even getting paid! Ask any veteran film critic; CGI takes a DUMP on everything. You're just fooling yourself, & destroying DW in the process. It's just a tacky embarrassing Soap now. RIP

  • @therealKINDLE I don't know why I'm bothering to say this since no one is ever convinced by youtube comments, but any critic who dismisses an entire tool for film-making with no consideration for the ways it has improved things simply can't be taken seriously. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it isn't, but it can never take a dump on everything all the time. Tools just don't work that way.

And frankly if Old Who is something different from New, I don't care if I'm destroying it.

  • @Entanglment Unless the Tool does more harm than good. I'm not alone in saying this, In fact, I quoted James Rolfe in a comment below, Red Letter's Plinkett claims it looks "Cartoonish", & there's even several directors that REFUSE to use it. Take a good look at "Dog Soldiers". No CGI, & it looks fantastic.

If that isn't enough for you to wise up, then take a GOOD look at the remakes: Star Wars, Superman, Terminator/Alien franchise, A-Team, Indiana Jones, Italian Job, Bonds, etc.

  • @therealKINDLE Inception's decaying Limbo and folding Paris, the vast array of visual touches in Scott Pilgrim, the dog-fight in Serenity, every shot of Asgard in Thor, the Prawns of District 9, the battle over Vulcan in Star Trek IX, Steve Rodgers before he became Captain America, Watchmen's Dr. Manhattan, SGU's establishing long-shot, and everything Pixar. It can do great things, and all the movies you listed had bigger problems then effects. I'm not alone in saying that either

  • @therealKINDLE So, in conclusion - I embrace BOTH the original and current runs simply because they do tell good stories and have good actors. Even Freema Agyeman, considered the weakest of the companions in the current tenure - is far superior than Matthew Waterhouse. The CGI and such for me is icing on the cake - it along with makeup just shows how far it's come.

Look until we start getting stories of the quality of Pip and Jane Baker, it's not as horrid as you say.

  • @jadewarlock Conclusion this, conclusion that, you need a thesaurus mate! Is that the best you can do? Mathew Waterhouse & the Bakers? At least Adric stayed dead. Unlike how everything comes back for a twist in the new series. And the Bakers did Mark of the Rani & the Ultimate Foe in near to no time. Moffat makes Pip n Jane look like Richard Adams by comparison. Smith has already kissed 2 girls. Same shit, different.. er.. Well, nothings different. It's David Tennant all over.

  • @therealKINDLE Delgado's Master shed tears in The Final Game, New Daleks destroyed the old inferior Daleks, the third doctor used the SS to detonate landmines and other non-door-opening tasks, K9 had more lines in the old series because he was a main character and he's still voiced by the same person, so he's exactly the same. And once again THERE HAVEN'T BEEN ANY IMAGES of the Cybermen, so I don't know how you can judge them without seeing them.

  • @ACtheLegend What are you talking about? There have been MANY Cybermen stories ALREADY. And they Look AWFUL. Kit Peddler is turning in his grave if those things are meant to be partially organic Cybernetic men. The Classic: 63-89. Nu Crap: 2005-Present. The Master didn't Shead 1 single Tear in that story, he was manipulating the Dr by Begging him for compasion. K9 WAS a main character yes! Instead of simply putting him in as part of the Check list Stories. Stories that are made up of Trite/Trope

  • @therealKINDLE I'm not talking about those alternate earth CybUSmen, I'm talking about the real Mondosian CybERmen that are appearing throughout series 6 which has NOT aired yet, nor have there been ANY pictures of the Cybermen themselves, only the new Cybermats.

  • @ACtheLegend K9 technically wasn't always voiced by Leeson - during Romana 1's season (Mary Tamm), he was voiced by someone else - I think David Bierley. That said, Leeson returned and still maintains the voicing of the character. (There have also been three known versions of said Dog - each owned by Sarah Jane, Romana II (Ward) and Leela).

  • Ah yeah. :) --- More please!

  • skusim to udelat přes brno lidy poradte jaky program nato mam najit na pc abych to předelal

  • That was FAB!!! xxx

  • OK...hardcore DW fan that I am, and trust me, I normally consider this stuff almost sacriligious, I have to admit that is funny. I couldn't help but chuckle. Good job!

  • That is HILARIOUS! And so nicely done!

  • Absolute hilarious! The idea is already astounding, but the carrying out boosts it above sky!

  • LOL Ok, this was good. But why does everyone want to do a Dallas opening for SciFi shows now? :p LOL Please don't stop, they are fun!

  • Perfect! (Okay, except for the alphabet thing.) But as a "match" to the Dallas opening, Perfect! Even got the fonts exactly right!

  • *smilieface* that was fun

  • this show has so many gorgeous women. I have a crush on them all.

  • i like this

  • I loved this! Though I understand the alphabetical order necessitated it, it still does seem a shame for Dave Tennant to get last billing...he is the title character, after all! Amazingly good work; I actually like it better than the current show's real opening!

  • OH do Knots Landing and Flacon Crest

  • Dallas UK??, jajaja great and creative openning.

  • Love it - i was waiting for the episode to begin - ha ha!

  • Will you please do one like this to the Crossroads theme?

  • Comment removed

  • Love it!

  • Very Well Done! - but it would have been hilarious if you put the shot of Old Cowboy Stadium in one of the panels.

  • LOL! Thank you for making my day! This theme was AWESOME! Severe pat on the back to you mate.

  • one of the coolest shit i ever saw on youtube. good job !

  • I actually like this BETTER than what they really made for the 'new' Dr. Who series!

  • Hilarious! This was fun. Good work.

  • Thats is freaking awesome....great editorial work...This brings back memories...I wonder if you can do the same thing with BSG lol

  • Haha that was actually amazingly well put together! Well done. I really enjoyed this, you made the show look even better than it is with all the space scenes!! And I love the Tardis towing planet earth home towards the end. Love it.

  • very very amazing, i like that more than dallas,

doctor is far better than dallas

  • cool

  • I Would Actually Prefer This Style Rather Than The New One. Well Done :)

  • OMG that was amazing and so much better than the real opening to doctor who

  • i just had a LOLGASM

  • That is just BRILLIANT!!

  • Awesome!!

  • It weird I see this and I have a moment of madness where I think actually this could work Dr Who as a Dallas style soap opera. Who'd b JR though? Mayb Johnny B. cos he gets around alot. only thing is no1 would care who shot him since hes immortal

  • I wonder if anyone's thought of doing, "Starring, in, uh, chronological order," all the Doctors from Hartnell on forward?

  • year , this better.

    this i like

    Bravisimo

  • Inspired. Thank you :)

  • fantastic. well done 10/10

  • 1:17 onwards is really funny!

  • it should go like this though Adjoa Andoh Bernard Cribbin Billie Piper Cathrine Tate Camille Coduri David Tennant Elisibeth Sladen Freema Agyeman Jacqueline King John Barrowman Noel Clark
  • Superb, I'd like to see one with Kylie Minogue in it - maybe even a special one for the Titanic edition of the show - this was my favourite ep.

  • Just brilliant!!

  • Lol You made my day!

  • cool :D

  • That was absolutely fantastic! :-) Very well done!

  • I LOVED IT!!!

  • Bloody brilliant!

  • Thanks for all your nice comments! Yes, I made an alphabetical error at the end there, but just look at it as a "special guest star." :) And I guess I messed up "Sidney Newman" as well. It was something like 2 in the morning when I finished so I beg forgiveness. ::grin::

  • @creativeg You are forgiven.

Great job. How can 15 people not like this????

  • That was friggin brilliant.

  • Amazing ! Well Done Creating This !

  • It's times like this that I miss the star rating system. This deserves 5 stars, not a thumbs up. What the Hell were the idiots in charge of You Tube thinking?

  • very good video BUT S COMES B4 T

  • You know what, BEST INTRO EVAR! FTW!

Maybe the BBC can do an episode or two with this special intro.

  • LMAO!!! AWESOME!!!! :)

  • Love it!!! Thanks for the laugh!

  • I never seen single episode of Dallas.... however, THIS LOOKS FREAKIN' EPIC

  • That was incredible I love u didn't just make a Dr Who vid for the song it was shot for shot the Doctor Who equivilant for Dallas, down to the alphabetical order of actors, and u picked really good shots too

  • Cool! How did you make it?

    Jamie

  • Superb - thanks for this! :)

  • I love how you've managed to make the show look far more sci-fi in three minutes than on telly. And really well put together!

  • Utter magnificence!

  • this was awesome my 2 fav shows in one hehehe

  • Cute!

  • Amazing, thank you!

  • this is actually so good and hahahaha at the end with the tardis XD XD XD

  • I never tire of seeing David doing that spin :D

  • "S" comes before "T"

which would have made tennant last, which would have been nice :-)

  • @papplemanger yh but 'd' comes before 'e'

  • Absolutely brilliant. The little things make it histerical, like the alphabetical order putting Martha's mom second and Tennant last. Well done, mister!

  • that was actually pretty good :D...

Never watched "Dallas" in my life, and I have absolutely no clue what it's about, but I love "Doctor who" and this was great :D

  • You've probably been told this a hundred times over, but T actually comes after S in the alphabet, and Sydney is spelt with a Y not an I.

Apart from that, I thought it was fantastic!

  • Really well done.

  • OMG They could redo the episode where the Doctor almost regenerates and call it WHO SHOT D.R.

  • Good work!

  • Wow!

  • From one Dallas mashuper to another, that was great!!!

  • SUPERB - You going to do one to the Dynasty titles??

  • OMG! That is awesome!!! Thank you so much for that =)

  • Saw the Star Trek version of this and thouht to myself that I have to learn how to do this to make a Doctor Who one .... LOL Thanks for saving me the time! THIS IS AWESOME! Major Dr. Who fan and I can't get enough of this!

What software did you use? Dying to know how you did this!

  • Wow amzing what software did you use ?

  • Okay...that was brilliant. Thanks for making my day just a little bit brighter. :)

  • What fun!

  • That was....AMAZING!

  • errrrrm I dont want to be pedantic but doesnt sladen come before tennant alphabetically ;)

  • And Tate. I was gonna mention that too.

Besides that though, these credits are really cute! :)

  • Actually, the Battlestar Galactica titles (at least the new ones) were based more on the Space: 1999 titles. RTD even admitted that was the reason why you had those quick episode clips in the titles. He liked them from the first season of Space: 1999.

    But that's just me being a no-life fanboy. :)

  • great fun!! loved it!!

  • christ i think i am going to die laughing.

    Great job

  • 1 Word: EXCELLENT!

  • Bloody brilliant! One of the more creative DW videos/take-offs I've seen in a while.

  • It's a good idea, but Freema's hair isn't NEARLY big enough, Billie would have to STAY a bad girl, and Catherine needs shoulder pads.

Then next season, Chris Eccleston gets out of the shower...

  • @sisterheresy' ...out of the shower..." Ah,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha AND HA!

  • Hah, nicely done!

  • Genius!

  • Very cleverly done! Thnough slightly wobbly on the 'alphabetical order'...

  • How could you do that to my DOCTOR WHO... and how did you manage to do it so brilliantly? Well done!

  • This is fantastic. I can't gush enough about the perfection in this translation.

  • Totally excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • BEST thing ever. OH YOU MADE MY DAY.

  • Sheer brilliance. The BBC *really* ought to get this onto the next box set. ^_^

  • Okay, so this is pretty much made of epic awesome!! Well done you!!

  • Absolutely superb - 5 stars, excellent!

  • I like how the doctor 'dances' of joy at the end. Did feel like you missed Christopher Eccleston in the list, but do understand why it might shouldn't be included.

  • Thanks, y'all.

    - I used Apple Motion to create it.

    - I totally choked on the alphabetical order -- I have no idea why I screwed up and put Elisabeth Sladen in the wrong place... let's say she's "Special Guest Star."

    - Yup, I erred with "Sidney" Newman. I was probably doing it in the wee hours without enough sleep. Sorry. Unfortunately, I can't upload a replacement, it would be a whole new upload. Sigh.

  • Its the guy who narrated Simon in the Land of Chalk Drawings!

  • THIS IS WAY AWESOME!

  • Love it!

  • No Christopher Eccleston?

  • Oh very good, now do eastenders ;)

  • very good what program did u use coz windows movie maker is useless for making movies with

  • This is really good, it looks brilliant

  • Very well done!!

  • This may sound analretentive but it's SO nice to see someone who not only matched the Dallas opening title scheme PERFECTLY... you even got the fonts right and spelled everyone's names correctly! Makes me so sad to see a well-edited fan video with misspelled names and incorrect fonts.

Not even the real Dallas producers got the fonts right when they did the 2004 reunion special!

    Please make more like this!

  • Apart from Sydney Newman, sadly. But I'm nit-picking - that was class.

  • To be fair Leonard Katzmann who was the series head writer and main producer passed away in 1996 (there's a dedication at the end of the JR Returns reunion movie). The 2004 reunion special Dallas: The Return to Southfork was produced and conceived by Charlene Tilton, Lucy Ewing-Cooper in the series.

  • You could've thrown in a shot of a Dalek, but otherwise I liked it.

  • haha so true.

  • That's great. They should change the normal titles to that.

  • that was great!!!!!!! well done...

  • amazing!

  • Fantastic!

  • pretty good! HOWEVER! the traditional theme song is the only only only aspect of the series that has been around since day one. (the Police Box too, but it changed briefly into a calliope in the 80's).

  • LMFAO

  • could i ask what program u used and what effect u used for the clips all playing at the same time?

    thanks

    george5991... plz subscribe

  • Great work, good scenes with the tri-image and perfect ending!!!

Welcome to the club of Dallas / X mashup editors ;)
