Sonic rush was an amazing return after recent blunders in the third dimension, however I think they probably would have been better off leaving rush and grabbing more from the advance series because the double screen view and the zoom levels necessary for sonic rush levels do not transition well onto generations.

Even Sonic Generations having so well chosen and redone stages, I have to say that Planet Wisp is my least favorite level by being so loooooooooooooooong!

About my least favorite Sonic game, I have to say that Shadow the Hedgehog is a piece of crap! The graphics are the same of Sonic Heroes, but it seems kinda of... worse! The gameplay is shit! If Shadow has chaos' powers, then why he needs guns in the game? It's bullshit!

But Shadow himself, he's one of my favorite Sonic characters!

Wait, how did Sonic Rush fail in the series? Last I checked, it got plenty of positive reviews, and was praised for its speed and platforming. I like it alot, and it's one of my favorite modern Sonic games. As for my least favorite game, it would probably be Sonic Spinball. I dunno, it's not really something I enjoy playing too much, and it is too difficult for its own good.

@Inbasul Rush came before Unleashed so really Apotos design may be based off Water Palace.

I loved Rush. After years of 3D crap, we finally got a good 2D Sonic game that stays true to the classic but has modern touch to it. Rush Adventure was alright, but lacked a lot that the first Rush had. Colors DS was probably the fastest of the Sonic DS games, but it was also the easiest.

Dunno. I found Sonic Rush as a really well-done game. And contrary to what you said, the game did not fail the series. It's one of the most praised and liked games in the franchise.

It also the very game that introduced Sonic's now well-known and very-loved boost, and honestly when I played the game with this feature it somehow filled that gap that I seemed to have in the previous post-Genesis era Sonic games, and that was SPEED. :D

you do know without sonic rush we would not have the boost feature in all the newer sonic games. And let me put it like this. If the boost was not invented sonic unleashed would have faild forceing sega to not us the new hedgehog game engen and sonic games would continue to suck. So yeah. I really hate to hate any games, but my least favorite game is... Castlevania: Judgement.

As much as I love the Akumajo Dracula series in general (thank you Mr. Eyan for that), this one is really bad. Music is OK, but gameplay is particularly shitty, Trevor and Drac were way OP. But worst of all the graphics are beyond horrible. And by "graphics" I mean the character designs that Deathnote artist fucked up. Shanoa nun? Simon stripper? Death tooth fairy? Thank GOD Soma Cruz wasn't in Judgement.

#1 Radical Highway Act 1. The stage has a path with no hazards that lasts for 10-20 seconds. I find it lazily designed (in my opinion).

#2 Out of the games I've played, I'd say Sonic Labyrinth.

I personally thought sonic rush was on of the greatest of the series, I've often found for every bad 3d game, the portable consoles had some really great games for the fans, and then when the wii came out, the motion control games were really nicely made by comparison of the rubbish alternative of sonic 2006. It's just my opinion anyways, but having played accross the series, I'd say rush was an important development in the current sonic games. Introducing the boost technique.
