I'm fairly sure you either don't care or have already been informed, but in case you didn't know, you have 2 different grapple maneuvers.

You have a regular grapple (which is what you were supposed to use when you fought Angelo) executed from a standing position, and then you have the pounce move which is what you kept doing.
