  • Nice cover of the original, "Hum Allah" by Pharoah Sanders.

  • The original was released on the A side of the LP albumn "Pharoah Sanders, Jewels of Thought," released by Impulse records, recorded in New York City, October 1969. "Sun in Aquarius" was on the B side.

  • Lovely!I was lucky enough to meet and spend the day with them at Montreals jazz festival back in 93'.i was a londoner a long way from home!Constantine was nursing a broken foot so we hung out eating some good food and then they let me stand side-stage while they did an awesome set. They were even graciuos enough to take me to a party afterwards.Lovely people.

  • remember seeing galliano, aged 17, at glastonbury back in 92/93 - or sometime around then. there was a storm brewing, not only in the sky, but on stage as well. they were fabulous. get your earth boots on...

  • 90s!!!!!!!

  • So many memories....I was 15 and this song made me dream so much....

  • never EVER get fed up of this tune!!

    a true classic!!

    timeless

  • Galliano were superb back in the day. Rob Gallagher goes by the name of Earl Zinger now and has a few albums out.

  • Wow--that really brings back memories. Early 90's was such a great time for UK music. The Heavies, Jamiroquai(at his best) Young Disciples, D'Influence--such good times.

  • 00:26... is that a guy? or a girl?

  • You mean The Person singin' with the dreadlocks?...That's a Girl..:-)

  • That's Valerie Etienne. It's a girl, and maybe twice the man as you.

  • Are You Talking 2 me???

  • Too bad this song never made it to the "Top 10", could have done the world a lot of good...

    GT

  • que de souvenirs...mon premier amour, l'aventure....année magnifique, madrid, yo y tu alejandro mio....donde estas?

  • I hve seen them Live! 2 times in germany...I think it was 1992 (?) in Hannover........It was Fab!!! Grtz, René

  • Blimey, can't believe this was almost 16 years ago. Wow, what a great period this was...Young Disciples, Brand New Heavies, James Taylor Quartet, Incognito, Corduroy, Paul Weller, Omar, Barrie K Sharpe & Diana Brown, Raw Stylus etc. I'd say "In Pursuit of the 13th Note" is one of the best UK long players of the 90s.

  • i totally agree with you, now we've all moved on and have careers, its nice to look back to the innocent times, great times!

  • timeless

  • Love it!

  • Fantastic song.

  • Why disabable not further the word.

    Shame on you, I'm crying

  • Thank you for uploading this.

  • I heard this song for the first time in New Orleans in '92. Chillin with my brother after a 4 year tour in Berlin (US Army) I was big into acid jazz. Giant Steps V2 stayed in my CD player for about 15 years.

  • Yeah, this song was my first step into acid jazz. I still like Galliano, Mother Earth, The Brand New Heavies and so on... Greets!

  • I loved Galliano back in the day. Can anyone post "Coming on Strong" please, please?!

  • I used to work with Valerie Etienne, decades back... And jeez i fancied her something rotten :)

  • Valerie Etienne... :)

  • I lost this cd on the move back from hawaii i brought it in england 1992 so when i found it on youtube all the memories came back........ cheers galliano

  • so acid jazz!

I love the use of Pharoah Sanders/Leon Thomas' melody

  • great song

  • Oh God! Have not heard this in so long. I was part of the stage invasion at a Brighton show. These guys were stunning live. Bring them back!

  • Mick Talbot on keyboards, legend.

  • Bring back Galliano! Surely with all the G8 vibe going on their time is ripe.

  • Finally I´m glad to see this part of my youth! Thanx for the vid and greets from Germany....please give me more from this wonderful Galliano! I saw them in Hannover in 1997 and it was one of the best act I ever could be a part from....
