No! Use a backing track - I can hear Mr. Ford's playing OVER yours. I can hardly hear you playing actually, so I have no idea if your playing is good or crappy. :( No off-notes, but that's about it. The expression is lost completely. However, you DO have a great guitar, great taste in music and some nice chops.
I could not find a backing track that's why I did it like this. And it's better like this than just solo, because of timing/feel and whatnot. If you listend'to Robben enough you could hear the difference in tone. Listen to the original, then to this. You should be able to hear a difference.
and then again, I did try to balance out the volume a bit to be somewhat the same so you could hear that I was doing a damn good "cover".
@Stratozenfan The problem is - his vibrato, bends and sliding technique are masking your playing. I've listened to the original a LOT and I'm sorry, but I really can't clearly discern your playing from this clip. I'm searching the internet for a backing track and I'll send you one if I find it. You've really put a lot of effort into it and you have the gear and chops for a mindblowing cover!

@Stratozenfan
However, this just shows that that only works if the viewer actually believes that I'm really playing along.

@Stratozenfan
even if you can hear robben alittle louder, you should be able to hear a difference in tone and so be able to hear what I am doing.
