hey primadog, the rest of south bend was just as bad, the next day i had to drop off a friend at the south bend regional airport, and going from the airport to DT south bend, you could see trees down every where
Actually they cleaned it up in a hurry and other than a few ugly stumps you'd never know it happened. They'll probably have new trees up by Fall. Don't know about the Basilica though...

Thanks for posting this. I was on campus several times while my daughter went there, so I was distressed to hear about the damage to this beautiful place. We're so thankful that no one was injured. Our Lady must have been watching over everyone!

i saw a funnel cloud go right by my house, there was a small touchdown about a mile away

I was there and it was very scary! The wind would not let the doors on Nieuwland Science hall close, it kept sucking them back open.
