Good Jesus listen to the sound of that V10, I wish there was no music. I wonder why BMW gonna get rid of this motor for the next generation M5, they should just do what the G-power people did, boost the V10.
It really doesn't make much sense though... not when they're going to be putting the same engine (albeit it not as highly tuned) in the 550. Why pay a premium for a factory M5 when you could tune a 550 yourself to be basically identical?
Oh ok, but I think with the technology available, they could make the V10 meet the emissions/fuel standards. But if a new BMW 550 will get the same twin turbo V8 as the M5, just a bit de-tuned, then M5 sales might take a hit. I would save money, get the 550, and like u said make it run like a M5. I wouldn't just be missing the M badges.

"Idiot" is driving like that and endangering so many people's lives on the public road. No one who earned the money for an M5 would be stupid enough drive like that on public roads. Note that winning the lottery, dealing drugs, or saying "please" to daddy is not the same thing as earning an M5.
But as an M5 owner who has had 9 unexplained miles and a lot of missing gas from my M5 after picking it up from the dealer for an oil change, I have to wonder if m5powerr is my service rep...
