I have the utmost respect, support, love for LGBT and I'm a non-homophobic heterosexual man (18)...my 14 year old cousin Janell (aka Janell Minaj) she's a transsexual (boy-to-girl) and I have so many female and male friends in LGBT...OAN: I "HATE" homophobic men, and I don't like when they say someone is gay if they're attracted to a MTF, MTF is legally a female now so it's not gay if someone is attracted to a MTF cause they're attracted to a female...I SUPPORT!

excuse me."real life trannies"? .as cool as this kind of platform is, to promote it as a representation of real transgendered individuals is going to cause more problems then good... first of all, what about individuals who can't aford expensive feminization treatments or are just not your everyday barbie doll? are they going to be seen as not "true trannies" or of good "quality"? like, im just afraid that if some trans don;t look like them, ppl won't acknolwedge them as trans. ok, I think I just jumped to conclusions too quickly... I guess I'll just have to watch the show; I know from what I've heard, I'll love it regaurdless of its societal implications. I was just trying to think of how someone who is not transgendered will view it (ex, my family,) but then again, I'm just a worry wort, and when I hear the words tranny and media in the same sentence I cringe.

idk if that is necessarily true... we all come from varying backgrounds and have had different experiances, therefore all of our definitions for what it means to be a "real tranny" is different and so we may not fully understand eachother when it comes to subjects such as this... for some, the show will be awesome, for others they might have issues with it... I am going to reserve my opinions until I watch it.

great video! I started reading about this like last month on blog sites. This is very exciting because like you said, these aren't the stereotypical trannies. But, it is a reality show and reality shows are only good for exploiting their cast members.

I don't think they care any about educating and changing the sterotypes and misconceptions the public have about transsexuals.

I hope this show works out, but most reality shows are about sensationalism as a way of getting ratings.
