The German NCO is played by the great German actor Hans Christian Blech, who also played Major Werner Pluskat in The Longest Day. Somehow I feel sorry for poor old Pluskat who commanded the beach guns in Normandy. He was bombed on by the battleships and cruisers, then a JABO strafed him while driving and finally his dog Harras deserted him!!! @71259mark Sorry, but all capitalism relies on government support. Currency, property laws, legal enforcement of contracts, they all come from the state. Private property could not even exist without enforcement by government coercion and violence. Private businesses are made possible by a vast system of official state support. To pretend that capitalism exists independently of that support is wrong.

The German NCO is played by the great German actor Hans Christian Blech, who also played Major Werner Pluskat in The Longest Day. Somehow I feel sorry for poor old Pluskat who commanded the beach guns in Normandy. He was bombed on by the battleships and cruisers, then a JABO strafed him while driving and finally his dog Harras deserted him!!! The guy did survive the war and assisted as a consultant in the making of The Longest Day.

And I take issue with the claim that the Panzertruppe had the finest equipment. It didn't.

You (should) know, the permanent fight between the Turkish Empire and the remains of Hungary (as part of the Empire of the Habsburg dinasty) preserved (saved!) the rest of Europe for its own internal affairs.
