The follicles are then implanted into recipient sites created by the surgeon. NeoGraft has a 'no-touch' implantation device that allows the follicles to be implanted gently. @polos505 During the hair transplant procedure, the grafts are placed into the sites that have been created by the surgeon. It's not really a 'hole,' but more like a tiny slit that is created by a small instrument--usually less than 1mm in width. Transplants today are not uncomfortable for the patient because local anesthetic keeps the scalp completely numb.
