Violet was after the death of his wife his therapist. They wanted to show how pete and violet first met.

no one died so the title was so wrong, there was no death in the family, expect maybe for Pete's wife but we don't really care... okay everyone is safe, Violet is probably going to be a little crazy for a while but what's new right? anyway i'm glad i got to see that, and i hope next week's episode will be that great!

I think they called it A Death In The Family to get more thrill to the fans but they meant Pete's wife..Of course! Just marketing!!

what a great way to wrap up the second season!! i thought the season finale really boosted the show's potential....

I'm 100% certain that Violet will not die. And I doubt they will kill the baby off either. I bet you the crazy girl who took her ends up dying (either she takes her own life or is taken down by the cops when giving up the baby).

I really love this storyline, it packs a punch and the aftermath will surely be long reaching. Some people have complained it's too soapy but obviously they don't realise what they're watching - Greys and PP have always been a little OTT.

Over the top. A few people complained after the finale that it had gone too far and was a tad unrealistic.

The show has always been a bit soapy, I don't see how this is vastly different to other storylines. And if anything a few cases similar to this have made it into the news sadly enough, it does happen.

well... i guess if voilet's baby dies she gonna be depress but her relationship with pete could get strong, i hope because i love that couple ...voilet's will be diferent after this horrible thing in her life because she never wants a baby and now she lose the baby, she gonna feel guilty. i think, this will make some diferences in who violet are... that's make me me a little scared...but all we can do is wait...

I think the title of the episode implies that Violet's baby will die. We know that Violet won't die, so it's probably her baby.
