This movie is about the Legendary Queen of Thailand her majesty Suriyothai..and about the corruption of the Thai Kingdom because of jealousy within the Palace..and this is about the Invasion of Thailand when the Burmese try to take over our land and murdered millions of innocent lives..this has nothing to do with Cambodian..Burmese & Cambodian are two different countries..Thailand(Siam) was invaded by Burma not Cambodia.

Actually about 1/3 of Loas was part of the The Angkor empire and almost about half of thailand(siam). Loa and Thailand have their oun cultures but is very infulenced by cambodia. I'm not asian but I read alot and have no Cultural or national pride angle here. love Thailand, Lao and Cambodia the same.

Sort of in fact the Thai army was allied with Japanese to a certain extent and besides this was for only an extremely short period of time in terms of history. Burma has probably ruled them for longer between their fights for independance.
