So if I tried to do the same thing on apple, the apple would say their isn't enough hardware to run this program and then simply not run it. So all apple does it protect you from your own stupidity.

BSOD... before I even got to use the fucking thing, BSOD, it dumped everything... rebooted again... it deleted windows completely and I had to re-install it from the HDD Autoloader... epic fail microsoft????

i have had my $3400 vaio laptop for 8 months now, and i have to say vista home premium 32 bit works spot on, i have yet to have a problem, ihave zero viruses on this machine so far. ALL I CAN SAY IS GO VISTA.
Blue screens aren't really a horrible thing like people say they are. Its just an error, that was caused by software you downloaded, doing too much shit at once with like 500mb of ram. or just an error
Your computer doesn't "Die" each time, just reboot everything goes back to normal
Nothing to do with the age of the computer. Its to do the driver support of the hardware.
You see, if you looked at Vista into greater detail, you'll see that Microsoft has changed the driver model and the quality certification process. (its more stringent)
The stability (against BSOD) is entirely up to the hardware manufacturer to get the driver right. When they stuff up, the user suffers...Frustration!
As for Macs? I don't care for them. I use a PC, its a tool. Not a religion.
You are very lucky if you havent had a blue screen. I got Dell XPS like amazing computer. Blue screen every 2 months, viruses get in no matter what. I have a 5 year old iMac too. I now use that as my main computer.

Don't want to burst your bubble but I have XP and it happened to me to get the BSOD....twice. But I'm the guilty one, I've downloaded a shitty firewall from the net.

Yeah it still exist but now the writing on it make much more sense then the one on Windows 98! Basically put, it tells you, in a nice way, that there's something fucked uo on your PC but WITH WORDS!!!

should clearify, windows pc users and yes macs do not get the blue screen of death. I have had 3rd party software freeze up, but never my mac. Love that force quit option.

Yeah, the BSOD is just an ancient joke these days, like getting kernel panics.
Ubuntu's the same way, you can usually force quit something. If that doesn't work, you might have to restart X. Then you might reboot.
It usually stops at killing the process. X takes a lot of effort to screw up, but it ruins everything when it does.
Of course, odds are you still have the virtual terminal at Alt+F1. ... There's always a way to fix it.

Sure he can! He just runs them on his virtual windows machine and when it crashes he can go to a previous snap shot and start over or down load windows again.

i have had my $3400 vaio laptop for 8 months now, and i have to say vista home premium 32 bit works spot on, i have yet to have a problem, ihave zero viruses on this machine so far. ALL I CAN SAY IS GO VISTA.

Blue screens aren't really a horrible thing like people say they are. Its just an error, that was caused by software you downloaded, doing too much shit at once with like 500mb of ram. or just an error
Your computer doesn't "Die" each time, just reboot everything goes back to normal

Nothing to do with the age of the computer. Its to do the driver support of the hardware.
You see, if you looked at Vista into greater detail, you'll see that Microsoft has changed the driver model and the quality certification process. (its more stringent)
The stability (against BSOD) is entirely up to the hardware manufacturer to get the driver right. When they stuff up, the user suffers...Frustration!
As for Macs? I don't care for them. I use a PC, its a tool. Not a religion.

You are very lucky if you havent had a blue screen. I got Dell XPS like amazing computer. Blue screen every 2 months, viruses get in no matter what. I have a 5 year old iMac too. I now use that as my main computer.
