I must say that, yes this lineup is one of the best, for me even above Mahavishnu Orchestra, but hey, I'm not a very hardcore Mahavishnu fan, more from Remember Shakti and the McLaughlin Trio, even though I love Mahavishnu Orchestra, the first and second versions that is, Mahavishnu with Bill Evans was a tad too pop for me to interest me much.
I'm with you there, tho as you can see by the views and comments,compared to other JM ventures not so many agree. Maybe I'll post some more HoT anyway :)

I think "the heart of things" lineup is one of the best McLaughlin groups - except Mahavishnu of course
