Bach, Fugue in E-flat major, WTC Book 2, BWV 876, bar-graph score

Is there a word for a fugue with a harmonic supportive line (somewhat like a basso continuo)?

@sammypark333 I don't know of a name (other than, for example, a literal description, in Italian, the language of music notation). But there are plenty of examples of it ... for example, the last movement of the 4th Brandenburg Concerto.

Awesome. How does it feel to translate a genius to the masses, so they can see what you heard? I wanted to do this so many years ago, this is a perfect manifestation of it. As you know this is just the first layer of his genius, so much more in that little gem of music.
