  • I actually like this version better than the rootsy version on 'Catch a Fire'. This version is a lot more intense and energetic. Sounds like a Caribbean version of the Impressions...

  • no roots but regea

  • Well, Stop THAT Train was of course on Catch a Fire, and although Tosh was the lead singer on this track, it is a Bob Marley album so many people, including me, just note it as 'Bob Marley - Stop That Train'. Just not sure if this story applies to this version, never heard it before.

  • Dear LORD people, this song was recorded by Bob Marley & the Wailing Wailers in their early days when Peter Tosh was playing bass for the Wailers. Tosh recorded another version years later, but this is the original. Quit griping about people knowing their facts when you don't do any research.

  • Isn't Bob!

  • Another vídeo that says "Bob Marley", but isnt, you guys should take a time and find out about Bob Marley's songs, respect Bob and other artists too, thats not fair! What a ignorance!

  • how do so called marley fans not recognize that this is not his voice

I'm listening to this off of a playlist and was doing something else but immediately recognized it wasnt him.

I love marley, tosh, wailer and reggae so please people, give credit where its due

  • bob marley is not over rated. just bc people for some reason give him credit for some stuff he didnt do, doesnt mean hes overrated. he is a LEGEND, hes got the title he deserves

  • we should see if the uploader will change the name of it - at least put Peter Tosh (lead) and Bob Marley

  • I wouldn't call it 'overrated', just misunderstood. No, wait, Bob Marley isn't misunderstood, Reggae is. It's like thinking Eminem is the only rapper.

  • i hate that 3 people

  • i love him <3 the best

  • 3 people are paralized

  • chillllllll........ just injoy the song who cares about doo doos and back in vocals. easy brothere.

  • all those "doo doo doo doo doo" 's are Bob. and the mm mm mmhmmm's, too. the lead vocalist is Peter Tosh, with Bob & Bunny on backing. it's pretty easy to tell if you actually listen. All three very great and different musicians, and all three deserving of their due credit.

  • This is my favorite version of this song. Thanks for posting.

  • With all due respect you didnt know this was Peter not Bob? dude ease off the kind and do your homework son!

  • i love peter tosh!!!

  • Bless in POLAND :))

  • yet he did inspire each and every one

  • Why in the HELL would you dislike a Bob Marley song the three people that did must have gotten hit by the train.

  • One love <3

  • Bob Marley is a Legend FOREVER ! <3<3

  • If everyone listened to the Catch a Fire album once a day then we would have world peace.

  • The singer is Peter Tosh, not Bob...

  • @TheToporhead It's on Bob's greatest hits.

  • @TheToporhead Bob marley does do some background voices

  • there are many different performances of this song, but dis be da best mon... jah bless peter tosh.. jah rastafari..

  • love bob marley

  • Well i had this music on a Bob Marley album,

  • @dussie08 peter Tosh, man.

  • roots mee bredah

  • No Problem

  • to the victims of the holocaust twont be long till the wicked are vanquished and the earth is unified and early land an oasis not one desert barren land.

  • this is peter tosh :D

    other legend of reggae

  • Esta é a versão do peter tosh ai o caralho

  • goodbye nick!

  • Actually ya'll, it's not Peter Tosh. It's ALL of the Wailers, when they were just "The Wailers" (no Bob Marley and the...) with Tosh on lead vocals. Beautiful song, beautiful message, beautiful life tragically cut short by the ignorance of others.

    Bless up.

  • @CasualKarma i thought he died of cancer not ignorance

  • @dussie08 Murder. Shot twice in the head in his front yard during a robbery. Talking about Tosh, of course.

  • I love this song. This version especially.

  • peter tosh also does the vocals on many versions and his solo shit is fuckin great =D

  • the song is really good

I am from Germany and I understand the text Nich

but it sounds really well ;-)

  • No there is two differant songs..

This is bob who is singing this version..

  • i love bob and weeeeeeeeed, rest and smoke in pice my ganja man.

  • yay^_^

  • Hey anyone know the version that is heavy dub, and has sort of sheep sounds in the background???

  • in order to sell a lot of records, I would still refer to marley if I'm looking for money

  • mutu fodaa peter tosh *--*

  • ahh been looking for this verson!<3

  • sing it peter one love

  • *sigh* this song reminds me of the summers when I was 14 - 16 years old... peaceful days where I had a good time with my best friends smoking dope, having barbecues, swimming, making dreadlocks and rastas... sometimes I wish I could turn back time

  • it's written from bob marley but peter tosh had sung it

  • i have a disc floating around with this track on it, Tosh is not mentioned or credited on this track in any way. hmm, no wonder peter was pissed

  • Do worry, be happy :D

    Who is Bobby McFerrin?

  • this is my favorite version!!!!

    RIP bob marley

  • someone give me a list of songs that people think its bobs song.

i know like 2 - redredwine, and dont worry be happy.

you can tell this song is dont by him...his voice is soo much different wtf uh?

  • This is peter tosh

  • I LOWE BOB MARLYS MUSIC

  • its Peter Tosh but everywhere i find this song its signed as Bob Marley song...

  • Geez, yet another mistaken credit given to Bob Marley. Sigh... It's pathetic that so many Marley fans are ignorant. Marley didn't write, create and perform all reggae songs in existence. I'm a Marley fan, and as good as he is, he's overrated because, in part, because people give him credit for songs he didn't do.

  • Bob Marley did, in fact, create every reggae song ever written. In fact, every song you hear from the Caribbean is Bob Marley. (Sarcasm btw.) All kidding aside, it really does piss me off when people hear reggae and assume it's Bob.

  • Yes, he did. If I were an alien and came to learn about reggae through youtube, or talking to people at reggae shows in America, I would think that Bob Marley is behind all reggae songs. I'd honestly understand the miscredits if the singers actually sounded even somewhat similar to Marley, but most of them don't. I mean, come on, "Smoke Two Joints"?? Sounds NOTHING like Marley's voice. "Don't Worry, Be Happy"? What a joke!

  • well ... dont worry be happy was credited to bob cuz he made his own version of the song. his version became 20 times more popular so he got the credit, yes not his song ... but he sang it and he made it famous!

  • I hope you're joking, because Bob Marley neither wrote nor recorded such a song. It's Bobby McFerrin who did.

People are crediting Marley for all these songs he had nothing to do with because they've been brainwashed by Island Records, which did one heckuva job marketing Marley to "Western" audiences. So now suburbanites everywhere can listen to Marley while driving their SUVs, trucks and hybrids, while sipping Starbucks and cradling their iPhones.

  • @mykalroze - I ditto that!

  • @mykalroze this is listed as Marley because this was on HIS album called Reggae Magic, which was done with Peter Tosh.

  • @mykalroze actually marley is not overrated.... first off any one who is a true marley fan should be able to distinguish his voice even if its the first time hearing a new song by him......the artiste who sings this song is peter tosh.

  • @mykalroze - yes you are right, people do give him credit for songs that he didn't write but I'm not sure that that puts him in the overated catagory. He's not the biggest name in music (worldwide) because a few people haven't done their homework.

  • @mykalroze Thank you! I was about to have an anuerysm. People do know there has been more than one reggae singer in history, correct? Nah, guess not.

  • @mykalroze Relax, this came from Catch a Fire by The Wailers written by Tosh (one of two songs on the album by him). So since Marley was the headman of The Wailers, not so big a sin. And he's not overrated in the least.

  • who's the vocals????? i doesnt sound like bob marley. backin vocals do tho

  • petter tosh

  • u no ur music ha

  • sounds like The wailerssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • yh tosh is singing but this came out really early back when it was bob marley, peter tosh and bunny wailer, i'm guessin lol this was out before my time

  • Bob Marley didn't sing this one. It was sung by Peter Tosh. It comes of The Best of The Wailers. Bob Marley's Version is on Catch a Fire.

  • i like marley...

  • actually it was just the wailers;) but yea a bautiful song who peter tosh is singing but marley gets all credit :(

  • thats funny, i thought it sounded like peter singing. peace
