We knew what the song was about then. It's a beautiful song by a band that we both really enjoyed. Not everything needs to be symbolic. We've been married ten years this past June probably for not placing unnecessary emphasis on minor details. It's still a great tune.

Don't be afraid to read the lyrics before getting married to it. I've also seen several kids movies that use "semi charmed life" by third eye blind in them. Yes the song sounds happy. Pay attention to the damn lyrics though.

@fruityxoxo1991 The Jimmy Eat World that recorded this song is pretty much dead. They haven't made any music that sounds remotely like this in over ten years. Might I recommend some Elliott Smith to you? He literally is dead, but I've got a feeling that you'll love his music.
It's so obvious then that you must not understand a lot about drumming. If you pay attention to the concept "less is more" then the drummer just lets the music and melody grow inside you. That's what makes a drummer a musician, just like many others: Ringo Starr, Charlie Watts, Nick Mason, John Bonham.
i dont think hes having a go at drummers, or the way this is being played. i think hes just talkin about the overall track and the sound of the drums. like hed prefer it as an acoustic. i agree with him a little i think the drums are to prominent in this track and the sond should be more focused on the other instuments
