@chieftainette This is the biggest problem I have with the US version: Three regulars. It isn't that I don't like any of them. In fact, it's very much the opposite: I like most of them, and I think that it would have been really great to mix up the four chairs. Otherwise, you get talented improv-ers like Greg Proops relegated to the back seat, in effect, as a fourth-seater.

When in NY in Season 3 the audience seemed unfamiliar w/ the show. Also they brought some UK regulars like John Sessions, Sandi, Mike and Josie, who still focused on talent versus laughs (alhough Sandy shined while there).

In Season 4 the NY audience sounds like they're more familiar with the show (thanks to Comedy Central I think) & they didn't bring any UK regulars, so Ryan, Colin and Greg (and new ones like Brad) really got a chance to shine. This NY season was far better IMHO.

I really appreciate the raw acting talent, it's great to look back at people like Caroline Quentin, who's rather gone downhill in the public image in the last few years since Men Behaving Badly became pretty droll and finished. She's brilliant in Whose Line though, especially with her voice. Josie's incredible too, it's a joy to watch when they do singing scenes.

This is a great season though all the same, Brad is hilarious!
