do you do really think it wise to demonstrate on the bones and joints of a gentleman in advanced age? A person who's body and joints are prone to breakage and may have great problems healing.
I´ve found Mr. Anderson´s videos to be very informative, clear, and technically, of the highest caliber. It´s just great to see him do his judo techniques. One day, I´ll be like him. I hope to be in good shape to do my judo. Thanks Mr. Anderson. Bow to you!
There is a variant of this using Tori's legs (instead of arms) to hold down Uke's forearm. I've seen Neil Adams use it in an instructional video. Presumably using the legs it is even more powerful.
I love how he says "a armlock I developed about 40 years ago" I guarantee it's been around longer than that and that someone, sooner or later is going to object to his claim. I have no doubt of it though, these things get reinvented all the time.
Wow, that's a very interesting variant against a defense on jujigatame, wonder how it is not used more often, insted of trying to pull the arm by strenght. Thanks.
It sure was headed that way under olympic rules. Just goes to show you what damage a sport mentality can do when old pros like this are the only ones left keeping the real art alive.
I added this to my favorites. I looks like it would not make them release to get an armbar, but it would cause pain. Word of caution: this will only work on people with a low pain tolerance, not highly motivated or people on drugs and alcohol.
Does not work!

@MPA2000 To get a tap, you won't need the armbar. This is really painful, and it would make them release to get the armbar.
