Yes, we are saved by grace through faith in the particular, miracle working, risen and living Christ revealed by the Holy Spirit through in the New Testament printed in the KJV Bible. To access this grace one must repent and believe. It is not enough to just "believe"...many will say that they believe but the Bible says: Tit 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

ok we are the all the damn same people. every single religion is about basically describing what makes a good person and what will happen when u die.all religions may not totally the same but when it gets right down to the core they are all the same. the fact is that no one is right or wrong.we dont need religion to help us calm our nerve about what will happen when we die. even though ur body dies,trust me people ur spirit will always live on forever.is tht hard to get?

page 2/2: So adhering to God's word is a must and that can be considered a "good deed"! The point I'm making is that all faiths can be attacked in some way. I am not arrogant enough to pretend to know everthing. I am Christian (Greek Orthodox) but i respect everyone's faiths and beliefs as long as they are peaceful & all major religions are. So stop criticising everyone's beliefs and just show respect to everyone. that's the key to peace!

Page 1/2: The Christian Bible also speaks about the necessity to confess ones sins, and those that believe in salvation through Grace, ignore this. Also, if "believing" is the only necessity, why is there a need for Commandments? Following those Commandments are necessary and also considered moral by believers, right?

@Kipros007 Suggested reading: The books of Hebrews, Romans, Gospel of John, Ephesians, Galatians. That should be enough to explain why salvation is not of works or church tradition.

@proginosko. James 5:16, Acts 19:18, Matthew 3:6 all suggest the necessity of confession. Furthermore, you still haven't explained why following the Commandments of God is necessary if believing is the only thing that is necessary for salvation because of God's Grace?

Think of your dream car, now think of a car that costs the same but you would never buy. suppose you have the money and of course you have the free will to purchase either one. Even if you used your free will to purchase the car you strongly disapproved of the choice you made would not suddenly become the best one in your mind. But yet catholics pray to mary who was only a vessel that God used to send his son. And God says dont worship idols but yet you have mary and all of the saints you pray to, so how is that christianty? And another thing mary didn't die a virgin! This is fair enough but there are other viable explanations though which is why I said earlier that we cannot all be arrogant enough to undermine everyone else's beliefs. You forget to John Calvin's idea of predestination and the elect, were it does not matter whether you believe in god or not or if you do wrong or good, the elect are predestined to go to heaven or hell. I'd also like mention the atheism, while not a religion brings the point when you die you turn into dirt

SkyAanger201, The reformed idea of Calvin's view on predestination and the elect is not accurate. Yes, God has chosen events and people for His own purpose and predestined them for salvation. But they still had a choice to follow God, they did not follow him because they were chosen, but they were chosen because they chose to or will choose to follow Him. Therefore whether we believe in God or not means everything! we all still have free will. Salvation comes from GRACE through faith not luck

Wow...CONTEXT, CONTEXT, CONTEXT!!! first of all Jesus was speaking to the pharacies about following the men of the torah (Moses) but not the one whom the Torah was about, God. Secondly Yahshua is not greek...Yahshua is a transliteration of the original Hebrew or Aramaic name of Jesus. which means "Yahweh is Salvation." Please try to be more careful about misquoting scripture and taking things out of context.
