@TheDudesFan ... shut up, thats sooooo stupid, no one was at fault the horse was curious and if you owned a horse then well id just feel sorry for the horse ways to deal with this is either to get someone who like me has been riding since i was 5 and handling horses for 2 years or you can keep your thumbs away and make sure it doesn't happen again, THATS the only way.
@TheDudesFan if that was my horse and that guy punched him i'd kick him in the nuts... and that dont work for all horses if you punch my horse in the nose he rears and flips out and if you can even get near him again he is crazy head shy like if you go to un-tie him he frreaks out. a gental tap works for him cuz he was abused.
They could do like this if they are little bored and you let them that is, but they dont mean to hurt you they just dont know how much they could bite before it starting to hurt.
horses bite, sometimes they are annoyed, sometimes bored, heck sometimes if you've eaten something and the smell lingers they may even think its something they can get a nibble of.
This horse is prob hand fed and prob was looking for something in the guys hand, you can clearly see its looking for a treat. Good video to use on why you shouldnt feed horses from your hand.
@cocopop1001 you are kidding right? about half the horses at my stables bite, and one bites that doesnt know people. and there are like 4 that if you go anywhere near will try and bite. yes of course they dnt.
@cocopop1001 HAHAHA I'm sorry but were you born on mars? Or do you rely on Disney and hollywood movies to show you animal behavior? just to let you know horses don't fly either, and they don't neigh like they're talking, like the movies.
@dmfb68 Or maybe the horse was just listening. They listen to know whether a predator or attacker is coming, just like we do, but we don't have to move our ears or head to do so.
@GainingBananas LOL I forgot I even made a comment on this vid. if I recall it was more of a joke comment. something like this. lady: you can have anything you want. horse: wow really!? then I think I will just take his finger.
@tubestick00 harden the fuck up you fool, some dickheads cant watch a video without trying to make it into a fight about politics. oh and by the way moron, if you actually watched the video you'd realise the first reaction of the people in the video was concern and people only laughed when they saw he was ok. it happens a lot, you'd notice it if you weren't a pathetic internet troll.

@tubestick00 lol I find it amusing being called a loser by a dickhead who finds random videos to whinge about things completely unrelated. how about this fuckwit, go comment on videos relevant to how oppressed you feel you soft cock. go harden the fuck up you little brat.
I got bitten on my thigh yesterday, but not just a little nip, a proper mouthful! it kills! it's swelled up and my leg is stiff, I'm limping everywhere! :s
@QueenOfBreyers See, now that's what sucks. I mean, I can't imagine being biten in the boob, because I've never been biten at all, but I can't imagine not riding at all just because of a little mis-hap. I mean, being around horses, you have to realize that you're in a dangerous position at all times. Horses can be dangerous. They're STRONG animals.
@QueenOfBreyers Thats a silly reason to quit riding. I fell of a horse out on the trail and broke my arm in 3 places when I was 7 and that didn't stop me from riding. I rode with that cast on a few times. Eventually it became too expensive for me to continue after high school. But before I stopped the 4 year old Arabian mare I rode couldn't throw me off and she was a ^%@#&, but I loved her for it.
@mikaila31 it wasnt me that quit, it was my friend, i dont really know what goes through her head and she was young when it happened so she quit. i would never quit, ive had many injuries too, dislocated jaws, bruises, cuts, broken tail bones stuff like that lol
Got the skin ripped off my elbow last time a horse really bit me. Somebody wasn't in a happy mood. :( Made a great scar though and a long lasting impression.
Looking away while the horse's head is in his lap, that's asking for trouble.
All this yapping and scaredy-feely got on his nerves and he wanted to get a move on, I think. Horses don't take any nonsense. That's why there is the expression "horse sense".
@animelover462 you can't always tell by looking at the ears alone. This looks to me more like a grooming nip, which some horses do by habit. Keep an eye on that muzzle and snout. And be willing to gently nudge that part away from the surface you don't want eaten (your hand, shirt, and so on). It will take some time to break the horse from that habit, but you also don't want to confuse and upset the horse by inflicting any pain.
Well its not liek the horse was intimidated by him since her ears where not pinned back, she probably just thought his thumb looked like a yummy carrot!!!
hehe teaches you never to tern your head away from a horse specicaly when your crouched like that, they take it your un interested and want attention so they nibble and bit un-clearly asking or saying why are you here why arent you petting me,crouching doen is one of the worst things you can do infront of a horse that take no fear and will do anything they feel like so hope that teches you something =] lol *Being supportive not a know it all*
Actually, you are SUPPOSED to crouch like that, it's safer believe it or not. When you are for example brushing the horse's legs with a soft brush. If the horse suddenly spooked, it's easy to get up, as opposed to other positions such as kneeling or sitting. =)
yeah while BRUSHING them you kneal to reach their legs and belly never sit next to a horse unless you have known it forever and can read it like a book Im saying this as though this is a horse you dont know.
That happend to me today! It was an english show horse. I thought it was going to take my finger off but I popped it one time right in the face and it let go. If I would I thought to pop it earlier on it wouldnt of held on so long! Now I have a nice crushed finger. (it took me 10 minutes to type this)
Not funny! I've been bit by a horse and it was painful! Perhaps the horse thought he had a treat or something innocent like that and probably meant no harm, but seriously, horses that do bite are bad news!

This is nothing, my prego mare decided she wanted to bite my chest. I have a 9 inch scar to show for it. Had to have surgery to remove blood clots as a result of her bite. Never ever get close and NOT pay attention.
Maww, he's curious =3 I always hug a kinda vicious horse on the manor I ride (well, vicious.. Wrong word for him, but he's always struggling when we try to be carefull with saddling him up), so cute <3
once my finger got bit and it never recovered. It is just a numb fingertip to the rest of my life now..maybe haha. it has been 4 months since i was bittin :P Hope hes ok
baltimorman actually they can clench their teeth on you. and it hurts sooooo bad! and ive been stepped on so much..it hurts the most when they have shoes on,like my mare. it doesnt look like much when the bite.but oh man it hurts for days! haha hope it didnt hurt too bad cuz my mare did that once when i was feeding her and accidentily didnt have my hand flat it hurt! BAD!
thats not a bad horse hes just asking for more love lol! biting is 1 way horses comunicate with each other hes just looking for more love and i think that pony likes u!
ow!!! that must have hurt!!! you got the horse in its tickle spot and she wanted to bite something to take away the irritation.(did that make any sense???????)lol
i got bitten on the lip recently by my horse and although it made me more cautious it doesnt mean that u wont over come it. forget about him ever biting u and just look at him as the horse u saw before.
if you like the horse alot you sould buy him and maybe then get him some training my fave horse bit me sooo bad (i have a scar) but after a little tune up with a trainer she's great!!!
@LauraLovesMocha My mischievous gelding bit my butt as I was picking out his hooves, I don't think I've ever cussed that loudly in my life before then. My fault though, I had carrots in my back pocket beforehand and he smelled it.
Yeah, She was'nt being mean, it was just too funny not to post, painfull, but funny, and of course my wife just happened to be rolling when she chomped me.
that probably tickled... how salty do you feel sir? XD

ow!!! that must have hurt!!! you got the horse in its tickle spot and she wanted to bite something to take away the irritation.(did that make any sense???????)lol
MrDonut1958 3 years ago
When you think about it, horses communicate with each other in the wild by biting.
So he's not necesarily a bad horse.
Just trying to communicate something to you.

The horse I might be buying bit me right on the lip yesterday. I was crushed and don't
know if I want him any longer.
HorsesxarexLife 4 years ago
i got bitten on the lip recently by my horse and although it made me more cautious it doesnt mean that u wont over come it. forget about him ever biting u and just look at him as the horse u saw before.
tinatron 3 years ago
depends if ur horse bites then its not a good idea to be stuck w/ that, but if its like a little annoying u can probably fix that
gwgallopergirl 3 years ago

@LauraLovesMocha My mischievous gelding bit my butt as I was picking out his hooves, I don't think I've ever cussed that loudly in my life before then. My fault though, I had carrots in my back pocket beforehand and he smelled it.
Andrea9514 1 year ago
Lol, my horse did that to me... i think she thought i was a carrot!
