Most Americans have no clue what the term Northern Soul refers to.

You need to change this to Southern Soul. My uncle Bill Haney was the owner of the Chant Label and produced this record for Bobby Wilburn (a.k.a. Bobby Burn) in Atlanta, Georgia. It can also be found on the CD, Bill Haney's Atlanta Soul Brotherhood. Another one of Wilburn's songs (I'm A Lonely Man) can be found on Volume 2. Both released by UK's Kent Records. In a article published in Voices From The Shadows, Bill was labeled the "unacknowledged genius of southern soul".

how many times do i have to explain ;-) Northern soul is just the UK phrase for this type of music, generally played in NORTHERN clubs in the 1970s onwards, hence "northern soul"
