@thesicilianguitarist The Ohana is a copy of the old Roy Smeck uke, and a wonderful little instrument. The sustain and projection might have something to do with the body shape, which is also very comfortable to hold and play. Cheers!
hello i am getting this uke soon i was wondering please could you send a tab to me of this piece send it to thelolledproductions@live.co.uk thanks :)
Just send me a message with your email address and I will send you a file with the tab. It's only done with Microsoft Word and it's not perfect but you should be able to work it out.
It came fitted with Aquila strings. I am very happy with the way they sound. I do use Worth strings on some of my other ukes but I think Aquilas suit this uke perfectly.
I also own a Ohana Vita Uke and am very happy with it. I'm self taught and only been at it a few months, but the guys in my barracks(I'm National Gaurd preparing to go to Iraq) are always complimenting me on my playing. Mine has the low G tuning variation. The Vita has a great sound with surprising amount of volume.
hi friend. i'm toying with the idea of buying an ohana vita. i was told that bushman, stagg and another brand are basically all produced in the same factory so started lookin for alternatives. for the price this ukulele sounds wonderful, would really appreciate some feedback
I would'nt hesitate to recommend an Ohana Vita. They sound great, have good intonation and they are loud enough to play along with a guitar. I don't think you will regret it if you do buy one. I own 2 Ohana ukes and I'm thinking of getting another (the sopranino)
hi friend, i'm actually the guy in the comment below 'kharveyguitaridol' this is just another account. i've just ordered my ohana vita! really lookin forward to it :D will let you know how i find it
Thanks for the comment. I am using Aquila Nylgut strings. The action and intonation were both perfect when I bought the uke. It is easy to play and there is no string buzz. It was excellent value for the price. I have several more expensive ukes and I think the Ohana plays and sounds as good as any of them.
WOW....really nice!
I just ordered a Vita Ohana Uke today.

What kind of strings are they?
Shell528 10 months ago
@Shell528 I am using Aquila strings.
Aquila and Worth strings are both great but Aquila seem to suit this uke better.
phillipsderek 10 months ago
@phillipsderek Wow! I can't believe how much your uke projects!! Was that the same kind of model that Roy Smeck invented?
And hats off to your playing!

Thanks for watching.
This uke has no pickup, so I am not playing amplified.
I recorded this with a cheap digital camera.
phillipsderek 11 months ago
How did you amplify that uke? Sounds amazing.

is an ohana vita uke da best or sumthin??
SENIFURR 3 years ago
I think it is definitely one of the best in it's price range, and even comparable to some more expensive ukes, but that's just my opinion.

The Vita is a great little uke isn't it? I haven't heard one with a low G yet. Let me know if you ever post a video, I would love to hear it.

Thanks Ken,
I have enjoyed watching all of your videos and just subscribed so I don't have to search for them any more. And it's Derek.
Phillips is my surname.

Great picking, and what a lovely tone. What strings are you using? Did it have any setup issues when you acquired it? Great talent!
