Ayelet Waldman disgusts me. Did you see her video on letting her kids use pot.? She has a great following now- of teenagers who are trying to figure out who they are, and she endorses their use of pot - they all wish she was their mom. I would like to see what the president thought of that speech! She is the most 'full of herself' person I have ever heard speak in my life.
I plan to open the school year with this video for my 5th graders...words have such power. "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." Proverbs 18: 21. Eat wisely.
Michael Chabon is my literary hero, a man whose words I turn to when I need the kind of vicarious guidance only a writer can give his audience, but i don't like his overtly patronizing the first daughters. The man has accomplished too much to resort to this petty ingratiation. Obama has yet to prove all the greatness his speeches have promised, so there is no need to gush over him or his family..just yet!
this is retarded cmon now that comment at the end was border line belligerent against rap music as black music rather than looking at the art form of poetry behind it and also sometimes we go to war because the other side isn't ready to actually know you so anyhow peace is something that alludes everyone so these people are being stupid
without soul so much, more worry about what people thought and thats what undervalued it, yes appropriately ended but without soul, more middle class waxing i think.
Sorry, but Chabon has never been my cup of tea and isn't this time. I can't 5 this.
It's a poetry/music/spoken word jam at the white house, and the best they come up with is some entry-level linguistics lecture, watered down like it was meant for a child?
lol thats cute, I liked the video, they were VERY nervous, thats for sure. I do agree on what they said. But it is REALLY hard to put yourself in someone else his/her shoes. I try to do that as well....but I do know it takes training to be able to do that. I never started a fight in my life :-) Guess I am doing something right ;-)
well you can see alot of this type of stuff happening all the time, it just usually happens in communitys that people would rather not go in to. Where social injustice in often common place.
If a Comment Was a poem, Id Choose A few Words, Nothing Absurd But To Show I Cared, idcolour them wonderful to brighten your day, and to think Yes, and walk away!!!
lol these guys went on after James Earl Jones. No wonder they were nervous.

Why can't we regular people see this more offten in our communitys? Love it. Too bad is so expensive to see in person.
