Great match, it's interesting how much calmer and sober everyone seems compared to say a more recent WSC final. It just seemed like there was a very heavy atmosphere.

He played for the red just below the pack, was a bit too acute on it so played the red to the middle. Didn't give it enough to be close to the black in the deciding frame of a world final. Sad sad sad.

@sleeplessinsale Yeah good call, although he should have played with a bit more right hand side when potting red to middle which would have left a 3 quarter ball pot on the black and therefore an easier pot.

jimmy wanted him to win so much but just could not hold it together if he would have potted the black and another red i think he would have won i knew then that he would never win it great player though.......

It was never mentioned but i think Jimmy got a slight kick on 'that black' maybe it still would have missed anyway. Who knows?
