The girls are amazing, stunning. Haters gonna hate, but I wish I had the opportunity to be one of Vaganova's ballerina.

Often times in ballet we pull up so much and suck in so much that i looks like we don't eat but we really do. If we didn't eat we wouldn't have the energy to do what we do

Is this the equivalent of RAD Grade 2? They look a lot older than RAD grade 2 and are doing significantly harder work - compare this to the Pillow Dance for example! Just wondering how the Vaganova syllabus slots in with RAD?

They eat a lot don't you worry abou that and also they are very healthy! You american people always worry for food. That is way 75% are overwaight. Wach how perfect they are and learn!!!

The girl on the far left has ridiculous achilles tendons; her heels don't come off the floor in her grande plie until her knees are past her toes. She's got some stiffness in her hips, though. I just hope these girls are happy in ballet...classic Russian training doesn't give much personal choice, and they're all simply stunning.

You do not need a personal choice, this is not Hip-Hop. When you go on the stage you all must look the same and that is the BEAUTY of the Russian Corps de Ballet. Any one of the russian ballerina can be The Prima Ballerina in every one Theater and Dance company in the world!!!

And who do you think you are to comment the russian students. Show me one Ballet class in whole America which is even closer to this level at this age?!

@DFSLana1 My apologies, I wasn't trying to make any critiques. If anything, I'm in awe and I applaud them. I know Russian technique is almost always superior to almost anywhere in the world. I agree with everything you said, but I don't think you understood my point. I wasn't saying personal choice speaking stylistically, I mean that in Russia, many girls don't choose whether or not they go into dance. They are recruited at young ages without choice. I apologize for not making that clearer.

@PrincessFirefighter You don't need to apologize. She was being snobby and condescending. Although these girls actually choose to compete to participate in Vaganova, I understand that there is frequently outside pressure from adults. They dance most beautifully even though they are technically underweight. You didn't say anything about that, so her attack was unmerited. And, the beauty about dance is that it's a form of expression, and everybody deserves to have an opinion.

Thank you for these classes. Are there boy classes for the 1st or 2nd grade as well? Or duet dancing?

@Forados At the vaganova academy, they accept 12 girls and 12 boys each year, separate classes. Duet I think starts in fifth grade, when the kids are 14-15 years old :)
