  • I grew up in Bethlehem, Pa. Used to watch the Lehigh Vally all the time. from steam to diesel till it died. sad

  • Nice work!!

  • Great job! Loved the pics especially the Alco's, and the song by Ozzy!

  • 5:13 is Bound Brook, NJ

  • @conrail6465, 6:26-7:03 is in the palmerton, lehighton and jim thorpe area.

  • Yes, times change! Here comes $6 gas! The Lehigh Valley can't help it's gone. If the "Black Diamond" could, it would laugh at all those highways built and designed for 50 cent gas! Next, in a few years no air service to smaller cities like the Lehgh Valley airport.Mergers, bankruptcys, service cuts and higher fares for air passengers. While the Congress just tryied to shut Amtrak down again. Long Distance passenger trains sell out today, it doesn't matter.

  • i never thought Ozzie was a good singer but i rather like the song on the video....well i like the video too of course

  • i just bought a great dvd that has movies taken in geneva and in manchester in the mid 70's

  • @saintangerinc I work with a man who was a conductor on the LV, what is the name of the video and where can I find it?

  • 7:30 is Manchester facing west where NYS Rt. 96 crosses - now a grade crossing.

  • growing up in bethlehem steel area my great grandfather, grandfather, and my father working at the bethlehem steel. Me chasing the trains down the railroad tracks brings great memories.

  • Whats the second Song?

  • @MilwaukeeSDman "Move it on over" by George Thorogood. Great tunes, & great tribute video to a once & proud railroad. Long live the LV in our memories.

  • @GP9railfan Memories? Let see I just got back from a trip to the Lehigh Valley (the place) I took a sold out California Zephyr to a sold out Lake Shore Limited to Syracuse then bus to Scranton NRHS convention. A great convention! Including a trip Scranton to Port Clinton via the Blue Mountain and Reading and Jim Thorpe stopover! You should see the inside of the Lackawanna station in Scranton, it's a hotel lobby today. Visited the hobby shop on Lackawanna Avenue. June 2010

  • @intercityrailpal Nice! I want to do something like that someday. Sounds like you had a great time! I hope you've got some pictures & videos of that trip. :D
