there were a couple of moments of Vasiliev that had me wincing. However, he's improved so much in the past three years and he's only in his early twenties now. I'm sure whatever finess he needs he'll get as his career goes on.

you know, if it was filmed in 2008 he was 19..and actually he didn't train in bolshoi or vaganova's academy but in Minsk :)
he became a soloist at 17 with Osipova so he's a lot to improve, but actually what I see is quite impressive, not to say breathtaking
but these are just opinions :)

and the tv director is the worse I have ever seen for ballet!
He changes camera every time he is in mid air, totally spoiling the joy of the jump!!!!

Totally agree.. i rather watch a bad quality video almost immediatly after a performance in the other side of the world that have to wait 5 years before they make a commercial DVD... it's the joy of youtube
