I cant believe people actually argue about how skilled this instrument is. It wasn't designed for skill, it was designed as a visual spectacle and is amazing how it actually works.
The fact that he wrote these songs is amazing, the sounds created on the analogue synthesisers, the mix of analogue and digital... remember the notes aren't labelled either - that does require skill to play perfectly.
This is just like a guitar. Each beam of light has it's own pitch. This is in fact ,an instrument of variable sound outputs. One you must learn to play.
@brownXunit Look closer and further, man. It's more than skill, it's creativity. Did you ever think of this, a laser harp? Or, like in 1986 in Houston, to put a mix table in the top of a traffic sign? Where we see common things, this man sees art. He performs in places where you and I could never think of becoming a stage. In my opinion, he is a genious because he can see further than I'll ever be able to, and as most people will.
@escrete20000 honestly i completely agree with u. He is a genius for that reason but i was looking at this from a musical perception and from that, it seemed very basic. But the fact that he made such a thing is awesome. I just wish he was able to do more with it thats all.
This is just awesome really play in lazer

So why argue?

@brownXunit I agree. He only played one note at a time, for starters.
