  • Nettori

  • @NTHN34X hey you are not comment 66

  • I was mad when I found out that the statue was X infected. One thing I hate about the X is that they take all powerful enemies they can and then they use them to turn on Samus! ALL (except SA-X and Ridley) ARE GOOD GUYS, IT'S JUST THAT THE X TOOK THEM AND MADE THEM ATTACK SAMUS!! Even A chozo statue?? Samus must've been angry at what the X have done to something related to in her Zero Missions! >:(=

  • @NTHN34X It seems more likely that the X parasite infected the plantlife that ensnared the Chozo statue.

  • @NTHN34X

what about Serris (the boss in the Aqua biome)

  • what emulator are u using?

  • this is no chozo statue, u see the real one and get charage beam out of it near the start of the game, thats a chozo statue. this is a weridy thingy with greenyness around it :3

  • @Nebman1996 wasn't that a disguised X?

  • @MetalYoshi2009 i dunno, wut evar it is, its ugly bugly

  • GRRR!! I hated this boss room with a burning passion. This part of the game right here was the reason I wanted to toss my gameboy across the room.

  • the boss name i saw on the internet was mother plant

  • @nightmaremaker7890 is that a fan name or official? Sounds neat and makes sence.

  • @jfachris

the original japanese name is nettori, there is no information of an english title.

it looks like a torizo, one of the guard beings used by the chozo.

its unknown if some have contol over vegetation, or if its the result of x-mutation

  • It's called Nettori.

It happens to be a torizo that mutated with both the X and the plants

  • Chozo Statues are actually living things. Well, sort of. So, were this thing not an X, it would have been totally possible for that thing to appear elsewhere on another planet.

  • anyone wondering how the x infected a statue needs to remember the Golden Torizo in super metroid. It's clearly a captured golden torizo that was killed by the x.

It could be considered an android, which of course has organic components...perfect for the X to kill....

  • “The Chozo were an ancient and highly advanced race of bird-like extraterrestrials...”

    A cloned Chozo lol?

  • “Nettori”

    Fake Statue = Another Boss

  • The correct name for this boss is Nettori

  • Fake Statue??? its a plant... i call her mother plant but thats wrong too... maybe X-Plant BUT NOT FAKE STATUE o.O

  • u fuckin suck

  • @madmarauder1 Yes you do. Blocked!

  • i think almost every 2-D sidescroller metroid games have had a variation of the fake chozo statue

  • @catsnamesqueak

Nope, only super metroid has the true fake statue.

  • This boss is reminiscent of Mother Brain. At least, to me. Nettori (golden statue) = Mother Brain. Man eating plants = acid. Spores = Rinkas. Lot of similarites, in my opinion.

  • wtf?!the name of this boss are plant x

  • Dunno what to think of this boss...

I'm a Metroid fan and played the 1st 3 games, and don't get me wrong, this boss is interesting, weird, freaky, and the music adds to the freakiness, but all and all, this looks like a cop-out boss created at the last minute... to be honest this whole game, though it had cool aspects, was ALL about last-minute cop-outs, I think they could have done a better job...

To me, this boss reminds me of both a Chozo statue and the Spore Spawn (remember him?).

  • AKA Nettori, The Plant.

    Let me guess.

    Mother Brain+Golden Torizo=Nettori

  • why do the Core-X with beams move slower?

  • Ugh this boss battle was really hard and frustrating the first couple times.

  • Interestingly enough this is the only boss vulnerable to Power Bombs.

  • i found this to be the easiest boss, soooo simple attack pattern ^^

  • exactly. He's very predictable. But even easier than this guy is Serris.

  • The first part is almost like Mother Brain fights.

  • That's a chozo statue? Wtf...I never recognized that.

  • if you look at it one way

  • nettori looks like the chrono statue

  • this is a good strategy: lay a power bomb and it will damage nettori a bit, but will also destroy any pollen. so then just start firing ice missiles into nettori until the pollen is about to hit u and continue repeating this.

NOTE: this is only good for the first phase, and always stay on the upper platform.

  • I'd call it a pain in the ass... lol

You have to survive running from the SA-X, then fight this thing, now that's fun.

  • this is i think is called ummm something plant or plant something

  • mother plant.

  • Nettori X.

  • nettori

  • Lol if you stand on the very tip to the the right of the piller on the right the very left, flower thing ownt shoot...things at you so u can juts inload untill the plant core-Xstarts firin pierce lazers at you. :3

  • if any one was wojndering wat it is i think its a X infected chozo statue

  • @spike0linkx it's an chozo statue covered in roots

  • @spike0linkx It can't be a statue considering X can't bring stone to life. Only thing that can do that is Phazon as shown by Thardus.

  • @InstantMix weird how the x came back to its original form after defeating the chozo duplicate form.... plus the prime series is non cannon and is destroyed in 3...

  • @spike0linkx the prime series is canon , what are you on about?

  • @spike0linkx your an infected chozo statue

  • This bos is called Plant Core X

  • and this is plant boss!

  • good video but I used power bombs to defeat the stupid fliynig things but i allready wasn't so fast U :)

  • It's real name is Mother Brain reject.

  • It's real name(s) are: Nettori, "The Plant", Plasma Plant or Plant Core-X.

    Nettori is the "official" name.

  • It's a joke...

  • I did understand that, but i wanted to give out the actual name(s).

So i guess you just got me wrong. I did laugh at that, because Nettori DOES look like fighting Mother Brain -- well, in the opposite direction.

I could guess a much much more powerful version of Nettori could be what happened if Mother Brain was infected by the X.

  • i think this dude's from denmark in europe

  • looked closer and looks like you dodged one T_T

  • you have to shoot the spiky things before you shoot statue! or else they will hurt you for sure, you cant dodge them

  • dude....us eyr pwr bombs in the lower platform until the groud plants start attacking MUCH EASIER

  • once you destroy the two shields it looks like a chozo statue

  • Looks more like a plant creature to me.

  • there's another way, turn yourself into a ball.

  • Not bad, but not outstanding, either.

A quick tip if you decide to fight him again: try using Power Bombs to clear all the pollen out of the air. It damages the boss a little and it eliminates all the pollen for a short period of time. It makes it much easier to fight this boss without taking much damage.

Overall, not a bad performance, though.

  • Another variation, is to stand on the pillar directly in front of the boss, and then shoot the plant then attack the pollen.

  • ....the hell.....i beat the game 2 years ago and i dont remember this guy.
