If you type in "decade" on wikipedia and read about it you will learn a little about decades. The 1960s for example comprises years 1960 to 1969. However, as there was no year 0, that means that officially the decade is 1961 to 1970. However, this would be known as the 197th decade, not the 1960s. It is more convenient to do decades from 0 to 9 instead of 1 to 10 so that means 2000-2009 is the decade and 2010 to 2019 is the next (unofficial beats official in convenience)

I'm "gonna" clear this up for YOU right now. Yes, 2000 was a year as was 1970, 1980, 1990, etc. We're so used to saying "the 80s, the 90s, etc., but, all you have to do is go back to the very beginning of recorded time. People didn't call the first year "Year 0". It was year 1. Now count years 1-10. There's your first decade. The next begins with year 11 and ends with 20. Keep counting. You'll find that our current decade ends after this (2010) year and the new one begins in 2011.

I concur. This decade was absolutely deplorable. Entertainment was bland with remakes, shitty adaptations, and reality shows. Politics and world affairs were obviously stated in this video. Id say the only thing worth remembering is technological advances.
