For years I was wondering about a TV series which was about a boy in a coma. The image of the boy looking up in a elevator was just about anything that I very vaguely could remember.
I used to try and explain this to my friends, it was on Channel 4 on a Sunday morning about 7:30am. I knew it was real! I would have never said Ryan Reynolds was in it though.
i found epasodes 1 to 4 of seson one on youtube there is only one guy who posted them he may have all the eps so if you all ask him he may post the rest i remember this show back when i was 6 i never forgot about this show.
I'm not just saying this b/c I grew up in the 90's, but the late 80's/90's kids shows were UNREAL, today's kids shows are HORRIBLE (some exceptions though), but all the big kids shows today are just live-action Disney shows with awful child actors/horrible writers/bad comedy. Once Lizzie McGuier and Raven came on that was the decline of our generations kids shows. Now we have Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and other awful Disney stars I cant even name.

@dlewzey they didnt stop making it, they made 3 seasons, after the first season he completed his mission and woke up, but then doesnt want to tell his mum what he learned, and starts to flick between the to worlds, they wrap it all up in season 3 . show brings back some memorys!

The Odyssey is another amazing example of Canadian/New Zealand/Australian children's television drama - its a shame the UK stopped importing it... OR.. did they, like the UK, stop making it?

@MsMiranda123 yup remember th tribe as well, but that was made a bit later i think. this show was made 1992-1994 and the tribe was made in 1999. :) but still likes both , and also "the girl from tomorrow" and "ocean girl" is mine cildhood memories :)
4am in the morning and I woke up out of the blue and for some reason had this tv show on my mind and couldn't not remember it's name. Just couldn't fall back to sleep till I find it. And awesome... google, "serie coma old" and yes. Here i am. Now i just need to find some stream somewhere because this was awesome. I love series today, breaking bad, fringe, dexter, the walking dead, the sopranos. But it all started with this. The Odyssey!

Regarding the ending of the show, I remember that it involved a life jacket. (Is that the word? Floating-vest whatever you wanna call it.) Some evil villain wanted the life jacket for invincibility or eternal life or so. I think it all came down to that Jay stood on the shore outside their house, but there turned around, took off the life jacket and went back into his comatose dreamland and never came back to life. Again, it's just what I remember. Anyone that agree? Or disagree?

@hooligans03 *SPOILER ALERT* The final episode ends with one of the characters (I think he was the former general to Brad, before Jay became ruler of the tower) blowing a hole with bombs through the wall, breaking the barrier between the adults and the kids..it was meant as some form of cliffhanger, but the series never came back for another season. ;_;

hah this show was wicked. what did happen in the end? this show tripped me out as a kid I could never understand what was happenin but I loved it. What ever happened to making shows like this? Never see anything like this anymore at all for kids.

@hooligans03 *SPOILER ALERT* The final episode ends with one of the characters (I think he was the former general to Brad, before Jay became ruler of the tower) blowing a hole with bombs through the wall, breaking the barrier between the adults and the kids..it was meant as some form of cliffhanger, but the series never came back for another season. ;_;
