kjkrunner I was diagnosed about 6 yrs ago from an abnormal pap smear. Recently learned that 70% of women no longer have the virus after 1 year. You don't usually have this for life like some other STDs. So while there is no "cure", most women with a healthy immune system will essentially cure themselves. Like a cold virus, you don't have to tell people for the rest of your life that you have a cold, simply because you had it at one time. Talking with your dr would be the best decision.

If you're a guy, you wouldn't even know if you had HPV. It's killing more woman than AIDS. Condoms are useless because you can "catch" it from belly button to mid-thigh. We found out because she found out she was pregnant and we went in for a checkup, and thats where she found out. Also, the vaccine doesn't have the whole virus in it, just proteins found on the surface of HPV. Your immune system learns to recognize these proteins so if it encounters the actual HPV, it knows how to fight it off. Since the vaccine doesn't have the whole virus, your risk won't go up even if you already have one type of HPV. All it will do is protect you against the other types.
My understanding is that if you already have HPV and get the vaccine you GREATLY increase your risk of Cervical Cancer! Research the pros and cons of the vaccine VERY VERY carefully... count the cost.. there are many many other risks associated with HPV vaccine... death and disabilities

I don't like this video because it perpetuates the myth that you have hpv forever.... before you try to argue and tell me I'm wrong look at cdc.gov or talk to a doctor. The body usually gets rid of it in 2 years. That and over half (up to 80%) of sexually active people will have it at some point in their life... that means that over half of the sexually active people that are posting ignorant comments here will probably have hpv or have already had it and don't know it.

Some CDC info is good, but it's heavily biased favoring the drug industry. Julie Gerberding headed the CDC from 2002-2009 pushing for more mandatory vaccinations when she knew they were not needed (including Merck's useless Gardasil). She also put into place a plan to pay drug companies to ramp up to immunize everyone against swine flu (300 million vaccines every year)
She resigned in 2009 & works for Merck, largest maker of vaccines in the USA, & is now president of their vaccine division

Your body's immune system can take care of even the high risk HPV strains. Not all dysplasia is HPV. kjkrunner I was diagnosed about 6 yrs ago from an abnormal pap smear. Recently learned that 70% of women no longer have the virus after 1 year. You don't usually have this for life like some other STDs. So while there is no "cure", most women with a healthy immune system will essentially cure themselves. Like a cold virus, you don't have to tell people for the rest of your life that you have a cold, simply because you had it at one time. Talking with your dr would be the best decision.

Actually, when a friend found out about his HPV infection, he called 2 of the partners he had sex without condom to talk about this, so everyone knew how to protect the next partner from that point. It's responsible to tell, not a same.

hpv, along with most viruses (including hiv) have never even been isolated inside a human body. Surely, doctors have manipulated particles inside a petri dish, and then claimed these are the supposed viruses, but its not proven.
some believe what the tests are actually detecting are the bodies immune system response (a good thing), rather a virus.

Please help me by viewing videos and spreading the word on these vaccines, in light of the recent death of Natalie Morton having had cancer jab, though they say it was malignant tumor, I maintain she would have been alive 2 leave school that day instead of dying in hospital only 2 hours & 15 minutes after receiving the jab, she collapsed after only 1 hour & 15 minutes.
My continued research shows she is not alone, with other deaths and thousands upon thousands of serious adverse reactions.

The HPV is no different than the viruses being created for/by the internet companies. You got guys creating viruses that are pretty much being funded by the big shot players internet companies.
Somebody is making money off manipulating these natural viruses. There is just too many strains out there for it to be natural. Sounds like a laboratory evil intentions.

I agree with the speaker 100 percent... I've had HPV for 6 years now since i was in highschool... It's just one of those things but since it has to do with your sexual organs there is automatically a social stigma attached to it... But if you look at the statistics regarding the overwhelming number of people that have it then you come to realize it's like the common cold. My last 4 girlfriends had it already... So when i told them it was no big deal. And these were regular everyday girls...

True cherfer, kids are more prone, for some odd reason, to getting a certain class of HPV, but touching our uglies? it turns into genital HPV, you can be born with a certain virus that causes warts or lesions , that the body CAN get rid of in time or depending on ones genetics or health, yes, but for it to be this out of control ? Come on there has to be more to this HPV than we should know.

I understand this completely i recently contracted one of the high risks hpv from someone i thought was a friend i've only ever slept with two guys in my entire life one of which i was married to it didnt work out even though were still friends i know i did not contract it from him i was clean the whole time we were together the guy that gave it to me tried to accuse me sayin i gave it to him and got really angry when i told his girlfriend knowing he wouldnt, i've been having trouble dealing

If you're a guy, you wouldn't even know if you had HPV. It's killing more woman than AIDS. Condoms are useless because you can "catch" it from belly button to mid-thigh. There are NO symptoms to the most cancerous kinds and the Gardisil vaccine is doing more harm than good to women. It doesn't even protect against half of the deadly HPV strains. Sorry-there's no such thing as "safe" sex.

I however don't have a loving b/f right now and am finding it very hard to tell who ever that next guy shall be about this. Whats funny about this is only 4% of the women who have HPV COULD get cancer. And that takes 10 years. 80% of females that have sex will have it atleast once. It's the STD version of a sinus infection. P.S. there are no tests for men

Actually its not your fault. Your NOT a slut. I know first hand how hard it is to live with this when its NOT your fault. I have HPV. And infected my wife with HPV. We found out because she found out she was pregnant and we went in for a checkup, and thats where she found out. I cheated on my wife and got it from a girl who i was sexually involved with a short time. ANd i regret it. Its hard emotionally on me and my wife and its not her fault. Its mine.

ps. though I am generally anti-pharma, at the same time most men do not experience symptoms and hpv is a hidden female problem. You should know that gardasil contains mercury. Greater care should be given to preemptive solutions in food standards reform and efforts at supporting your immune system with organic foods, Echinacea, Bearberry, etc. As well, stress negatively effects the ability of the immune system to clear the infection & more psychological care needs to be considered.

If my gf told me she had an std, i would dump her on the spot. There is no way i would put myself in danger of infecting myself with something highly contagious as HPV which condoms cannot protect against (it only requires skin contact) and infecting my future gf or wife. No thanks.

assuming you are a man, how do you know you don't have it? Most strains are harmless and our immune system gets rid of it and those that cause problems there are no tests for men as far as HPV goes unless you have warts so men pass it on to women so much and they never know it

Your an idot. If you have had sexual contact with ANYONE you more than likely have it. Almost everyone gets it in their lifetime, it's like the common cold. It is nothing like herpes, etc. I am not promiscuous at all. I am 25 years old, and have only had one partner and he passed it on to me without even knowing. It totally cleared within 6 months

I totally agree with you. Most people have been exposed to HPV at one point in their life and some will never know about it. Even people who don't show sypmptoms will never realize that they are carrying it and spreading it. My sister has HPV and caught it from her husband. Oh and she lost her virginity to him. She's not a slut. So who ever thinks that people are sluts w/ this disease can F off. You could be infected and will never know. That's how common it is.

So IF you are protected from SOME HPV strains... but not protected from others... how valuable is this? Would you ask your partner if you have BABESIA? What is that? It is a Marlaria-like infection that is transferred through intimate contact. Left untreated it can cause ALS, MS, and similar co-infections (Borrelia) will cause autism in your child..... 1/4 million persons per year contract this.... 10% get treated....

Because the vaccine protects against the 2 strains that cause more than 70% of cervical cancer. So even though the vaccine only protects against 4 strains of HPV, they are the one's most likely to cause cancer in the future

Siriana, But make SURE you do not already have HPV... I read where the risk of Cerivical Cancer goes UP(!) dramatically if you get the vaccine but already have the virus. Remember, $1,000,000,000 to $3,000,000,000 to be made by the manufacturer if this becomes mandatory nation wide. That kind of money will buy a lot of truth stretching. Lymerex was a Lyme vaccine that was taken off of the market... caused HORRIBLE Rhuematoid and worse... the maker lied and said there was no interest!

Also, the vaccine doesn't have the whole virus in it, just proteins found on the surface of HPV. Your immune system learns to recognize these proteins so if it encounters the actual HPV, it knows how to fight it off. Since the vaccine doesn't have the whole virus, your risk won't go up even if you already have one type of HPV. All it will do is protect you against the other types.

My understanding is that if you already have HPV and get the vaccine you GREATLY increase your risk of Cervical Cancer! Research the pros and cons of the vaccine VERY VERY carefully... count the cost.. there are many many other risks associated with HPV vaccine... death and disabilities
