  • Thanks for posting this. I'm always looking for ways to upcycle materials for weaving. If you are a weaver watching and reading this, note that chaining the strips is not necessary so you can skip that step. Just butterfly the strips into little bundles and wind onto your shuttle as needed.

  • thank you for posting - using bedsheets is a great idea and they can be found super cheap at salvation army store or goodwill or garage sales, if yours aren't ready for the rag-bag yet. Even ask your friends/relatives if they have sheets they never use anymore. thanks again!

  • what a great idea. Thanks for the video. The loom reminds me of when I was a little one and my grandma put nails in the end of a wooden thread spool and we would knit like this through the hole in the spool. good memories. thanks.

  • if you cut round the edge in ever decreasing circles you don't need to join anything

  • what if you just cut the sheet in a spiral like way so you dont need to link the strips together would that work?

  • thats really not a bad i dia i like it thank greener who ever started this should try and get it world wide

  • The music

  • cool idea, cool song! is that Imogen Heap?

  • I enjoyed the video. Did you cut the sheet with the grain or on the bias?

  • how many sheets would it be to make a hand bag do you think?

  • The music was nice, but you should really pick something that is instrumental only. Listening to lyrics while trying to read instructions is nearly impossible for me.

  • What about using the technique to make seam binding to make a continuous piece of "yarn" seeing as a bedsheet is quite large.

  • i have 36 white bed sheets i can use

  • cool

  • Great job! I do think it woud be easier for "newbies" to use knitting needles though! Love it!

  • great idea... but as a tutorial video it sucked as you cannot see anything how it is done. youtube making t-shirt yarn... shows it really good.

  • That's a great idea, I'm going to give it a try with extra fabric I have left over from sewing projects.

  • this is too complicated

  • good idea. thanks from France.

  • This is great. :)

I've been recycling old fabric shirts into fabric yarn too.
